Like I said before the Man of Steel is buried deep within Clark. Not so much in the sense of physical strength but in his strength of character and need to protect others, and in this he won't waver or step aside form this path.

Good description! :)

Very well done in this chapter. It's so typical Clark not to think of the danger he is in, how vulnerable he really is in this situation, but to step between Caldwell and Bruce to take the blow Caldwell aims at Bruce.

It's Clark all over! ;)

Despite the pain Clark is in now, this made me smile. Yes the Sal-Vor begins to take form. Slowly but it's there, again after protecting Melody etc.

Yes, even that long ago his protective instincts came out. :)

As much as I want to see Caldwell punished and put away for good, can we have the "protect Master Bruce" scene again, but with Clark as Super...erm Sal-Vor protecting his mate?
And Edmund cripples both his hands beyond repair because now Clark is invulnerable?
That would be better then killing Edmund. Heh. Forever dependable on the help of others for each and everything .....that would be better then any death....well almost. :-)

Interesting punishment for Edmund! :)

Wonderful chapter, I hope they have invented some technology in this universe to heal broken bones fast rather painless, poor Clark has suffered enough for one day. I'm thinking about something like the laser the healed Cassiopea's broken arm in BSG.
:-)

You're spot on! Clark won't have to wear a cast for weeks (like I did!) but only for a few days while the fused bones heal. :)

Can't wait for the next chapter, and of course the next arc...:-)

LOL! Ready for the kinkfest, are we? ;)

Thanks for sharing!
