One of the odd things about my new job I noticed right away was that our offices and cubes didn't have wastebaskets. When I asked about it, my co-workers told me a hilarious story of how the city government, in an effort to reduce waste, presented everyone with these tiny little black buckets that we were expected to use for our garbage and dump

Wasn't there just a story about people embezzling from the city government?

They might want to look there before getting rid of trash cans...

apparently the internet is a dangerous place for me to be today. mayhaps it's time i go and knit. unless, of course, you wish to add a bit of hilarious insult to injury, and throw a knitterly lol thingie at me. i'll stick around for that, sure!

In my office, we are instructed to cut costs by stealing plastic-ware from the deli downstairs. This saves the company from having to buy some for our kitchen, you see.
I've pointed out several times that a more effective measure would be to use more non-disposable cutlery (of which we have a drawer-full), but I'm mostly ignored.
