OOC: About the Mun (idea stolen from Brodie)

In case anyone was interested... :/

Real name: Something exceptionally long in Chinese
Online name: Lome
What the hell does "Lome" mean? I'm a huge Lord of the Rings geek. "Lome" is short of "Lomelindi", which is the Elvish word for 'nightingale'. (I actually never meant for it to be shortened, but online friends always default to calling me Lome so ( Read more... )

YESSSSSSSS. 8D I went through a phase in high school where I tried to learn Sindarin. I kind of failed, but a lot of my emails/screennames are all in Elvish. xD

Actually I think the female thing is just something weird in my family, haha. It came from my grandma though, and she had a lot more daughters than sons, so maybe it's just chance that the guys didn't get it.

Hmmm, I've actually looked up this phenomenon. The science community acknowledges that a huge number of people claims that they feel pain before a storm comes (it's very accepted in Asian cultures, and there are mentions of old people all around the world saying that 'they can feel a storm coming in their bones') but they haven't found an exactly answer for why it happens. The joint fluid theory is the most probable and makes more sense than the other ones, so I just cite that one. XD We got a tropical storm up in New Jersey when I was around 15 and I remember being in tears on the sofa because my knees hurt so badly. :(

Hahahaha awesome. :DDD I have the Hobbit and the Triology, and I've read the Silmarillion as well (oh god, that killed my brain. @_@; Elven names are a pain to remember, especially if everyone in the family is named like this --Finarfin, Fingolfin, etc.)

Oh man, lucky. :/ Diabetes runs on both sides of my family (more so on my mom's, thankfully), and my mom's already pre-diabetic despite being pretty skinny. ;3; We have heart disease and cancer too, but that's just on my mom's side so I have a 50/50 chance.

I'm FASCINATED by storms. I think they're beautiful... from a distance, haha. The Weather Channel special on storms like hurricanes and tornadoes always make me geek out. Whoa, you live in a place with more tornadoes than tornado alley? O.o Where... would that be? Hahaha. I was in Indiana, which is why I developed a very healthy fear of giant storm clouds and green skies. ^^;

Ah, this is a good idea~ I might have to steal it from you.

I also still do not understand New Jersey Jokes. I'm also... not from the East Coast, so P:

Hahahaha well people always made fun of Jersey for being "New York's armpit" and that sort of thing. Then there's Jersey cows, the Jersey accent (which not a lot of people here have, surprisingly) and, unfortunately, the Jersey Shore (but they're actually New Yorkers _>;).

Basically, we resent the fact that no one really cares about us and they only care about New York. :p It's kind of a friendly rivalry though, because a lot of people work in New York but live in New Jersey.

Yeah, well the most I've heard about Jersey is Jersey Shore and the fact that everyone in New Jersey flocks to New york for work, but... other than that...

I don't get it... I mean, people in Colorado hates Texans, but...

LOLOLOL. Oh Texans. ^^; Maybe we shouldn't start with that... Haha.

Hmmm... I've had instances where people from other States come in and are like "...Whoa, this place is actually nice", as if they're surprised. ;3; I guess NJ has a reputation for being filled with garbage and gang wars, probably 'cause of Camden (which used to be a nice town but is now the most dangerous city in the United States lol). Personally, I'd just describe this state as boring, but it's really not bad at all. ^^;

China? Jersey? Fine arts dabbler? TWIN. D8

I lived in China for a while and have plans to return there for work. All my family is from Jersey and I'm currently there now. I just graduated college with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts. And man, I used to RP Egypt all over the place like whoa. I love 'im. Let's be friends. :V

Wow, it looks like you've lived all over the place. How on earth did you wind up in Jersey? And out of curiosity, what part? I'm Atlantic City, myself. Just for now. And hey, if you've lived all over the world, how many languages do you speak? What was your favorite place?

Very cool! Sounds like a plan! :D I'm actually in Princeton, if you know where that is lol. (It's surprising how many people don't... ^^;) How long did you live in China? That's impressive. Beijing, I'm guessing? O.o

Oh man, I hope you don't hate my Egypt. ;3; There's not much canon on him so I'm just making things up as I go.

We ended up in Jersey 'cause Dad's a chemist and Jersey is Land of the Pharmaceutical Companies. XDDD; I can speak Mandarin (am learning how to write it... again... *sob*), a dialect of Mandarin and obviously English. I can read more French than I can speak, but that's mainly 'cause I took it for 7 years in school rather than 'cause I lived in Switzerland ('cause I was really young when that happened lol).

Also, thanks! :) I love traveling, I think it really makes someone more open-minded and understanding of other cultures. (More people need to travel, I think we'd have more world peace that way. ;3;) My favorite place is actually Australia, hahaha. I spent the best month of my life there. XD My second favorite is Germany. I would say that China is also a fave but the grass is always greener elsewhere, you know? XD

Haha, I get that. Ah, Princeton..so you're in central. Are you actually going there? Great job man. : O

Ah, I just got back from living a semester in Hong Kong. It wasn't crowded where I was staying because it was a really nice apartment out in the new territories. I missit and can wait to go back. ;3;

Haha, don't worry. I love your Egypt. He's a lot like how I would've played him. Highfives.

Yeah, I've only been to Macau, Mainland China, and Hong Kong. (I was going to go to Taiwan, Thailand, and Cambodia while I was over there but plans fell through because of work.)
