Consider it opposite day

Maybe it's the migraine but I wasn't that thrilled by Community this week. Shirley was the most sympathetic to me with her 'skinny bitches' snark.

On the other hand, one show never fails to deliver...

Vampire Diaries 2.5This episode started slow but boy did it deliver! So much happens in every episode! And it used my bulletproof kink! THANK YOU, ( Read more... )

I don't know why slash fandom isn't all over Damon/Stefan, but I know why I'm not: because Elena is kickass, and I like her with Stefan OR Damon. (Or both, ideally). Also, I'm not really into fanfic for this show, because I think the show is actually giving me everything I need. (I'm often this way about well-written fandoms).

I also really loved (a) kickass Caroline in this and (b)the fact that Stefan's friendship with Liz turns out to be real.

Of course! *slaps head* It's too well written and it has too many cool female characters!! :p :p :p

It really is awesome. I feel like I could ship anyone with anyone on this show, just about! ;)

Kickass Caroline is the best kind of Caroline. I like the way she tossed her hair back into place after kicking Mason to the ground. :D :D :D

I liked it even better when Damon rocked up so close behind him, all pissy, and then felt the need to hold his brother's shoulders while having that conversation. And then Stefan returned the favour later! And they were very hot double-teaming Mason. Seriously, I have NO IDEA why slash fandom isn't all over this show.

I LOVED the brotherly scenes in this ep! And yeah, I'm all over Damon/Elena/Stefan like whoa...just can't bring myself to leave Elena out altogether. I wish there was more awesome fic/viddage out there for this OT3 though.

I know, Elena is awesome too, and the brother dynamic really does need someone else there, I think. And... you know, you and I have the power to fix that! :p It's very pretty to vid. I'm just saying. ;)

It really really is. One thing I love about TVD is that every character's lines, the ones they will or won't cross, are drawn in different places, unique to them. And they're so well drawn that we know when characters do cross their own lines, as opposed to other people's. Damon's moral code is completely different to anyone else's that's for sure.

Caroline was both awesome and moving in this episode. I did like Damon trying to protect her from her mother's rejection. And aww, she's crashing at the Salvatores. It's a vampire sleepover! :)

I love how this show keeps amazing me more and more every week. The women were fantastic as usual, but I really enjoyed the guys in this episode too; believable angst for Stefan, believable humanity for Damon, the Tyler/Jeremy-bonding (now there's another couple slash fandom should be going crazy over) and I loved how they got Mason involved with Katherine. She's just so fabulously evil and I can't get enough of hers. Oops, started squeeing over girls after all! ;)

Yeah, me too! And yes so much Tyler/Jeremy potential too! But yeah, Katherine did rather pop up at the end to pwn all the boys. ;)

I just can't believe how much PLOT they manage to pack into 45 minutes each week, right?! The whole Mason sub-plot (inclusive last minute reveal), vampire torture, a teenage home-alone-party, and emoting on all fronts while looking pretty. I'm in awe ( ... )

I know, seriously, SO MUCH in each ep!

It looked like Damon wasn't ever letting go of Stefan again.
Haha, I know! And then the neck grab? Did you see the neck grab?! LOL, I don't even understand, but I'm not complaining. :) If they feel the need of bodily contact while conversing, who am I to complain?

Yeah, I'm really getting behind Caroline! :) And yes one of the things I love most is that both her AND her mother are sympathetic characters. I really like Liz and I know her rejection of Caroline was incredibly harsh, but it surely came out of shock and grief. Her whole life has been built on protecting the town from vampires--from her point of view the vampires have stolen her daughter. But it is Caroline who has my main sympathy--she was heartbreaking when she stepped forward and tried to talk to her mum.

did Caroline and Damon have a bit of a moment there?
Yes, I believe they did. *g*
