Other than Sons of Anarchy and Friday Night Lights I think The Vampire Diaries is the best show on tv. Even considering my other two favorites, this weeks episode proves that it wins 'pacing the story within the episode' hands down. All the characters we got to see this week [will they *please* bring Alaric back a bit more? and where was Bonnie?] had moments of brilliance and real character development. Every. Single. One. That Never happens on tv.

Oh god, yes, the PACING. It's just unbelievable! I am thrilled they are managing to keep it up. The plotting on this show is phenomenal. But yeah, seconding the need for more Alaric! And I did think that Bonnie fans lost out this week. However I have faith that they will both be awesome when they do come back into play.
