I'm so glad you're on the Supernatural bandwagon. And I saw the pilot for Reaper at Comic Con and it was awesome. I *heart* it. I'm going to try Moonlight if for nothing else, Jason Dohring as a vampire. This makes me happy on so many levels of wrong.
I totally forgot about Moonlight! I'm curious about that one too. I'm having amaleka_crone let me know whether it's worth it for Jason or not. My Royal TV Taster, haha!
Haha! D, you have such fabulous taste in the teevee :D
Stupid stupid evil wicked elljay decided to garble half of my post when I used the rich-text editor, so I had to re-write a good chunk of it and then repost it. My colors were pretty while they lasted though!
I keep hearing mixed things about Torchwood, and I've been really curious. *is confused* We've been watching the Eccleston Dr. Who series the last week or so and I'm totally loving that, so I'd probably like Torchwood too (plus, James Marsters/Spike as possible love interest for the Doctor=YUM). Might start downloading it, we'll see ;)
Tell me your Kara/Sarah vid idea! I'm about a fourth of the way through a Kara/nugget vid right now but I could totally work on something else too. Tell me tell me!
Torchwood is love :) Chris E is a great doctor and in fact LeeAnn keeps trying to figure out why she likes him so much more than Barty Crouch as #10. :D
Bones--I totally started watching this for David Boreanaz, I won't lie to you. But now I'm hooked by the smart dialogue, the weekly mysteries and the awesome cast. I have such a girl!crush on Angela!!!
Me too. (sigh. I still miss AtS.) But Bones is way better and more interesting than it has any business being, considering the rather generic procedural set-up and all...
And as for Heroes, I feel somewhat exactly like you do. This feeling basically why I think Heroes is going the way of Veronica Mars: so-and-so 2nd season, followed by the 3rd barely, then cancellation... (IMO; Heroes was headed off a cliff second half of first season already, so in that way the comparison to VM is not suitable at all.)
I haven't been able to get into any other procedurals so far, and to be honest it took me a little while to get over the ick factor of all the bones/forensic stuff, but now I really kind of like that stuff on the show :D
Heroes kind of lost me mid-season last year too. Especially all the anvillacious voice-overs at the beginning of every episode that re-hashed all the previous eps and rendered the development of the mysteries/arcs completely transparent and unsubtle. I was really sick of the repetition of 'save the cheerleader, save the world', etc. by the end.
On the other hand, superheroes! Especially Hiro. He makes my fangirl heart so happy.
For me, that bone of contention is the treatment of female characters and Sylar, whom I hate. I think he show would have faired better if they hadn't tipped their hand so fast regarding Sylar's identity, and by not allowing him to be the almost omnipotent collector... towards the end it was just.... yawn. To tell you the truth I still haven't watched eps from 1.16 on... Plus I totally loathe Peter. To quote someone else, Peter is the Lana (from Smallville) of Heroes.
That is pretty much my list for almost those exact reasons. :D
I watched Bones at first for David Boreanaz (or Fat Head Angel as I like to call him), but the writing and chemistry between all the characters had me hooked pretty quickly. I don't really like procedurals, so Bones is awesome in my book if it could make me love it for more than just Boreanaz. :)
I'm super excited about Smallville and Supernatural. And Bionic Woman better rock my world, though I'll watch anything for Katee, I luff her that much (never see The Last Sentinel, not even worth it for Katee).
Anyhoo, YAY for Lunie icons and happy TV premiere week!
Haha, "Fat Head Angel" is perfect! His head/neck was quite large for a while there. And it was very shallow but I totally noticed on Bones when DB's neck mysteriously reappeared around the start of S2. He got all kinds of hot again! :D
Gah, unfortunately I DID try to suffer through Last Sentinel, but I ended up just fast forwarding to the scenes she was in. And even then, I would have been just as good with screencaps probably...I really hope Bionic Woman is worthy of her. It looks a little melodramatic and over-the-top, but that can be a good thing, right? *crosses fingers*

OMG so true.
PS: I'm mostly unspoiled for S7, but I REALLY wouldn't mind at all if Lana stayed gone...
