Bones--I totally started watching this for David Boreanaz, I won't lie to you. But now I'm hooked by the smart dialogue, the weekly mysteries and the awesome cast. I have such a girl!crush on Angela!!!
Me too. (sigh. I still miss AtS.) But Bones is way better and more interesting than it has any business being, considering the rather generic procedural set-up and all...
And as for Heroes, I feel somewhat exactly like you do. This feeling basically why I think Heroes is going the way of Veronica Mars: so-and-so 2nd season, followed by the 3rd barely, then cancellation... (IMO; Heroes was headed off a cliff second half of first season already, so in that way the comparison to VM is not suitable at all.)
I haven't been able to get into any other procedurals so far, and to be honest it took me a little while to get over the ick factor of all the bones/forensic stuff, but now I really kind of like that stuff on the show :D
Heroes kind of lost me mid-season last year too. Especially all the anvillacious voice-overs at the beginning of every episode that re-hashed all the previous eps and rendered the development of the mysteries/arcs completely transparent and unsubtle. I was really sick of the repetition of 'save the cheerleader, save the world', etc. by the end.
On the other hand, superheroes! Especially Hiro. He makes my fangirl heart so happy.
For me, that bone of contention is the treatment of female characters and Sylar, whom I hate. I think he show would have faired better if they hadn't tipped their hand so fast regarding Sylar's identity, and by not allowing him to be the almost omnipotent collector... towards the end it was just.... yawn. To tell you the truth I still haven't watched eps from 1.16 on... Plus I totally loathe Peter. To quote someone else, Peter is the Lana (from Smallville) of Heroes.
I do not know a lick about S7, but I've wanted Lana to be gone, say, 5 and a half seasons now, and she just won't go away... so, I'm not all that hopeful.

OMG so true.
PS: I'm mostly unspoiled for S7, but I REALLY wouldn't mind at all if Lana stayed gone...
