Tip of the day

A guy can't ask a girl, even one he's friends with, out for an innocent cup of coffee. She'll automatically assume he wants, not a cup of coffee with a friend, but to date her.

Either that or I come across as desperate.

fate, social, dumbass

In her defense, and certainly not to sound like I'm just biased toward "my own kind," but these days it's difficult not to assume these things when much of the time the assumption is right with most other men. :\

But I understand what you're feeling and I'm sorry you're down all the same. :< If it makes you feel any better, she probably feels unhappy about it too for one reason or another.

I've always tried never-assuming, and every single one later attempted to be otherwise, making the assumption I'd tried so hard not to muster turn out to be true anyway.

It's frustrating for both sides. :\

Curse of being single, my friend. The assumption is that if you are single then every waking moment is dedicated to becoming unsingle. For men it is worse than women.

But the funny thing is that it doesn't get much better later on. If you are dating and you ask a female if she'd like to do something and your girlfriend is not present, the assumption is you are planning on cheating. If you are married and you ask someone else who is married if they want to do something, then she will probably assume it is harmless. But everyone else assumes you are having an affair.

This just proves my point. Even if sex isn't the only thing you think about, it apparently is what everyone else is thinking about. =)
