Okay, so about Hadrian's love interest, I'm going to make a wild guess and say it's going to be Arista. I just have this feeling because she threw such a big hissy fit over being married off to some noble man, so I got the feeling they're not exactly her type. Plus, the fact that she knows magic may be of great help to Hadrian and co., so I'm guessing I'll see more of her in the future. A future that would probably involve her falling in love? Lol.

Books describes Hadrian as a great big puppy dog. I don’t think that qualifies as noble characteristics! But what would Alric think? (Well, there is this one point where Hadrian has to pretend to be noble … *He’s terrible at it!*)

What do you think of Royce? I think he’s got a heart hidden somewhere, but it’s been hardened out of him (in one of the later books, you learn more of Royce’s history, and you feel so sorry for him) And definitely the last books makes your heart break for him.

And be careful when Books points out that it’s someone you know. If there was a passing reference, Books will claim you “met” them and have you racking your brain for who they are. She was very mean to me about the last book, since I had to wait so long to read it …. *The point of that statement is to tell you to keep your eyes wide open when meeting new people* grins wickedly!

Oh, I just meant to say that I don't think Arista likes the noblemen type, so I thought she'd be more likely to fall for our tough rogue here. And I get the feeling Alric would totally approve, because he just loves his "royal protectors". Hahaha! Well, that's a total guess on my part, but yeah, Alric's warming up on me ( ... )

Gald to hear Alric's warming up on you. He's not a bad sort, just *very* over pompous! Well, without giving too much away, you have a very interesting line of thought on Arista's future .... *grins wickedly as she hides spoilers ( ... )

And Vin has *always* had issues with age! Spook is only 2 years younger than her and she thinks he's a child! Elend's only 21 and she said he was twice her age. Haha, I can see why she'd think 38 is ancient.

Oh, don't tell me much yet; I'd really rather not be spoiled (despite the fact that I've already looked up who would die in this book =P). Except for the love triangle. I'd hate to get another Adela surprise waiting for me. Hehe.

Oh, and in the sample chapters online I read the part where Vin looks under Elend's bed for assassins. XD So cute! *Edit* Elend should really just take some advice from Sophos and sleep with a knife under his pillow. =P

What?! Someone is dying in this book? Wah. Someone should really tell authors that killing off your characters is *NOT COOL.*

I haven't met this love triangle person yet, but I'll at least let you know when I come across him....frankly, I have a hard time seeing Vin falling for anyone else. So maybe it's not a love triangle so much as some poor guy who get's the door slammed in his face XD I just read this really funny part involving Elend and a friend of Sazed's......You'll like it :) And yes, Vin is cute when she's paranoid XD

As far as I know, 2 people we know from the first book will die, and several new characters will also die. I KNOW!! Totally not cool, unless they're bad guys. If Kelsier was still alive, I bet he'd have fun playing the fatherly role to Vin.

I think you've met him already. I think it will be the Watcher. And I read a fanfic that sort of spoiled what happened with the love triangle, and it really is Vin falling in love with someone else, not just someone falling in love with her. Which breaks my heart, because it's like the whole Adela affair again, except this time there's more investment. I read something about Vin finding another Mistborn who could understand her better than Elend, because Elend's not a mistborn, so yeah.

Really?? Is it Tindwyl? I love cute parts, I can't wait to see it. WoA is already in transit, so I should get it some time, but in the meantime I'm finishing off Avempartha.

Ugh! I still can't beleive she'd even think of leaving Elend for this Watcher dude....who I have seen, btw, and he's a little creepy....seriously, if he likes her, he should introduce himself instead of stalking her. Well, the good thing is (I'm assuming) is thatunlike the Adela affair, there won't be any marriages or heirs involved. It wouldn't have been so bad if his mother had engaged him in absentia, as it was because she *married* him in absentia.

Yes! It is Tindwyl! I have a feeling I'm going to like her alot XD SHe's scolding Elend for not being more forceful, starting all his sentences with "Now, see her," saying um to much and not taking pride in his appearance. And Vin hates her XD

Okay, I just have one question about these books: What do Paul and Peri live on????? Neither of them seem to have a job, and if their studio is as plastered with Paul's paintings as Timothy says it is Paul's not really selling them. So where do they get all their money?? Or maybe Paul just paints that much that he can afford to sell a whole bunch and still keep a lot too. Completely Random! Sorry!! :)

Yeah, I think Paul paints a lot and sells them. That's the impression I got anyway. I'm not sure exactly where I read it, maybe it's in the third book, but I had the impression that Paul is really a respected artist and doing quite well. Oh, and Peri paints too, by the way. They're both artists. ^^

ooh, I have a FR question too... Does Paul ever regain the use of his legs? L. mean, now that the faeries have their magic, and they have healing powers and all that, I kind of think it's be nice for Paul to be rewarded for his sacrifice back in SH.... I don't know if he'd accept it though.. . . Peri would probably make him: )

... No =( But it's okay, because it makes what he did near the end of Arrow all the more heroic. *plays at being mysterious too* Now that you mentioned it, I think it'll be my personal head cannon that one day, Paul would regain his legs again. Then maybe they can have their own children, though I'm not exactly sure if they're having troubles because of Paul's paralysis.

Robin mander_lee June 7 2013, 00:12:31 UTC
I've always been curious about his past; we actually don't get more insight on Robin in the third book, so everything we know about him is all that we'll get to know.

What do you guys think he did to get his talent? I remember him mentioning something about having sacrificed blood for it. Do you think he murdered people for it?

Hmmmm....Didn't the Empress mention something about drinking the blood of a human musician? SHe seemed pretty smug about, too, as if were somehow her doing, as a reward for Rob for being such a good and loyal subject. I had the impression that Rob was kind of revolted by the whole affair, and probably very regretful, and that's why he was on a mission to find the Children of Rhys as sort of a penance. Not much of that is backed up by the book, it's just where my mind took his story XD

Ah so you interpreted it that way. Okay, it's a much better way to look at it than what I initially saw it. I have a feeling I really need t re-read the series again. It's already been a year! And I think it's also time for a Farsala reread for me too, as well as a QT one. Ah so many great books!

That's the basis of what I thought as well. What the Empress hoped would tie Rob to her forever, sealed her fate for him fighting against her.

Well, Mauvin survives the church. And Alric needs all the ego puncturing he can get. In the last book he's almost unbearable even with Mauvin and Arista to keep the pressure on ( ... )
