I recently when to an author signing (where I met the amazing Tamora Pierce) and it got me thinking about signed books. So I wrote a short signed book meme! Here it is

How many books do you have which are signed by an author or illustrator? I have about 20 signed books, but some of them are comics, so the exact number depends on how you count: "Fragile Things" by Neil Gaiman, "The Alphabet and The Goddess" by Leonard Shlain, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" by JK Rowling, "Castle Waiting" by Linda Medley, "A Little Book of Monsters" by Lynn Hunter, "The Wheel of Change Tarot" by Alexandra Genetti, "The Last Unicorn" by Peter S Beagle, "I See it All" by Deth P Sun, "Song of the Lioness Quartet" by Tamora Pierce, "Lackadaisy" by Tracy J Butler, "Kabuki: Skin Deep" by David Mack, and four single chapter comics by David Mack, "Polly and the Pirates" by Ted Naifeh and "Sex, Time and Power" by Leonard Shlain.

Tamora Pierce is awesome, and she is on tour right now for "Mastiff". Check out her touring schedule, you might get lucky!
Also, I'm glad your a Gaiman Fan as well... When I saw him promoting "Fragile Things" he did a reading (which was great) but you had to buy a pre-signed book. He wasn't signing ones that you brought with you.
Also, I forgot to add Terry Moore in my last answer! He's another one I got to meet SUPER briefly at a con, but didn't get anything signed.
I have a signed copy of True Stories by Margaret Atwood. It's a collection of poetry. I met her in a women's book shop in Amsterdam in the 80's. She was charming.
