At what age is it appropriate for parents to talk to their children about abortion?  How detailed should they be?

If you don't want to discuss it with your young kids, what would you do if they asked?

You have a 17-year-old son. He does well in school, doesn't go out much, and as far as you know, isn't seeing anyone. Then you find out he does have a girlfriend, and he's gotten her pregnant six times, and supported her decision to abort each one.

What would you do in this situation? How much different would your reaction be than if it were your

I have a friend who found out her 17 year old daughter had had 6 abortions. As you can imagine she was very shocked she had no idea. Man I'm feeling morbid today. I don't know what has gotten into me. If you knew your child was going to die within a few years of being born of a disease like Tay-Sachs or something, would you have the child or abort?

If you knew your kid was going to be born with a severe mental defect so sever that they would always need someone to care for them, would you abort or keep the baby?

My opinion: I'd abort.

I know she was given very good sex education from her parents. She is at college and working part time and is a lovely hard working girl.
