I have a friend who found out her 17 year old daughter had had 6 abortions. As you can imagine she was very shocked she had no idea. She did well at school is now at college (This is in the UK so college isnt the same its normal to do 16-18 and you normally stay at home) She doesn't go out much they didn't even think she had a boyfriend

I'd feel sad that she didn't feel she could talk to me about this sooner, and that she didn't feel comfortable discussing BC options with me before it came down to such drastic measures.

I wouldn't do anything else, other than let her know that no matter what, I'm here for her and on her side. And I would hope that she was starting to use her head about BC, especially because of the potential of harm to her uterus that many abortions may have caused (scar tissue making even menstruation painful as an example).

Then I would probably flip my shit at her for having 6 abortions - (IMO) that is pretty pathetic and immature. If you are going to have sex, learn some about protection.

Then I would talk her into getting on some birth control, for the love of everything holy.

I'm pro-choice, and I would be horrified. That is NOT GOOD for your body! I would honestly want to strangle her. I am all for easy access and no parental consent, but I would be appalled at her lack of judgement. I really hope I raise a daughter better than that.

I'd be disappointed, mainly in myself. As her mother I'd wonder what *I* did incorrectly that she didn't feel comfortable speaking to me about birth control methods.
