Before I ask my question, I am going to state that it is not for me or my child. I have no children. This is truly for my English Department head and her 8 year old son

I knew a boy that was circ'ed at the age of 9 for cleanliness reasons. That kid has the highest pain threshold I have ever seen now. He's 18 now.

WHAT. Why the HELL wouldn't she educate herself before putting her child through that? What does HE want? I mean, it is his body and he's old enough to understand for the most part what's going on and what his parents are proposing doing to him.

This is my thinking too. I don't GET it. Why do it if it is not needed or religious?

I did some googling and emailed her the pages, but as she is technically my boss, I am a bit worried I will over step my bounds.
