I went to see Rachael Yamagata tonight, and she was fabulous. I had only really heard worn me down and loved loved it, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but she is very Norah Jones-y sometimes and much more aggressive/powerful-y at the same time. She seems like an adorable person, though, from the way she was talking to us between songs

today was essentially all japan meets jazz concert-ness. i woke up, procrastinated, bought flowers, went chalking, concerted, and then played in maki's room. lots and lots of fun all around ♥ i love our e-board

Of course I'm happy my boyfriend/lover/everything is back with Johnny's. I suppose it's a bit tragic and it means he has officially sold his soul, but none of this generation of Johnnys is really old enough for us to see if they're going to crash and burn too badly afterward... We went down to Chicago -- all 10 of us in AP Music Theory -- and ate lunch at a really nice bakery, au bon pain (I think). Lunch is always the best part of these affairs

So, the concert last night was fun! Those who did not go are horrible losers. Oh yes. And I shall prove it to you.
First was Orchestrated Follies and they had a big fishie! And a light-up sign that mentioned chickens. So they were cool. And Kyle is just a really good pianist.
I killed my throat. My hands are raw. I have a killer headache, and I can't hear very well. But it was worth it. Oh god, it was worth it
