First Wellesley event in months on Saturday, and perfect, my closest professor♥

She remembered me, of course, and asked if I was interested in literary translation. A lovely woman. Talk about Ogawa Yoko's Miina no koushin.

1) My final answer re: recontracting is no. I gave myself the day to react and get comfortable with this, and I think I am okay with it. There will always be a little bit of regret, but I think this is the right decision. My best guess is that I might regret the alternative more.

I had a fun day in New York. On my way back to the airport I was envisioning all these doomsday scenarios where I would miss my plane and end up stranded, but everything was fine... with 20 minutes to spare. My last test today was on Matsumoto Seicho's Ichinenhan mate. At the end, where I was supposed to write an essay on how the elements of the story tied to the ending and what the point was, I talked about that in like a paragraph and wrote a page and a half on how sexist the story was. Oops.
