An Exciting Assortment of Activities

My brother's girlfriend's mother came to visit this weekend, so, obviously, my parents decided last week that we needed an emergency brick pathway and patio. So much digging, so much brick-laying, so much fighting with cement. Desquamation. And who says English isn't a rich melting pot of language? The forum denizens can all bastardize some other language. I humbly suggest French.

Is it inappropriate to write odes to English? ORLY? OIC.

I love the word "desquamate" and its all suffix friends, and I fervently wish I had more opportunities to use them in conversation. Next time I'm recovering from a sunburn, maybe.

Someday I'll write an ode to the subjunctive mood in a last-ditch effort to breathe life back into it. Don't these kids today realize how cool it is to be able to distinguish between "if I was" and "if I were"? Damn kids.

Kids these days aren't able to distinguish between [i]sentences[/i]. We should teach proper punctuation first. Uphill. Both ways. Ten miles. In the snow. Before they invented shoes.

I hate how some sites use [ ] and some allow properly (in some cases, improperly) formatted HTML. I can never keep them straight.
