I've already signed up to try my hand at this thing (as if writing fucking Walkabout hadn't been enough stress) but I would be glad to collaborate with you on pretty much anything and signed the poll as such. You have my pen.
Of course, by mid-November I may be under such a pile of schoolwork I want to die, but hey, what's life if you don't take chances?
Heh, you just reminded me that I need to do that official sign-up on the NaNo site. I knew I was forgetting something this year.
For the collaboration, I think I'm going to start it off with a several-hundred-word prompt on November 1, then let everyone add to it in a gleefully lawless round robin. No pressure. Bad puns welcome. Retcon wars encouraged. I figure it'll be fantastic stress relief when the words just will not flow on my actual NaNo project.
Now I just need to come up with some ideas for a prompt.
Too bad it can't be fanfiction; I still want to write a story where Terra gets used like a doll by the Emperor's niece (blame DK for this idea). It's just so wonderfully twisted.
Signups continue until the end of November, I believe. I mean, if you want to write your novel in two days instead of thirty, who are they to stop you?
