The Reconvening of the Amateur Electricians' Fun Club

Apparently my qualified success in repairing my laptop's AC adaptor made an impact on those watching (hard to imagine it wouldn't, really, given the sheer amount of sparks), as today the JTE asked me to retrieve his CD from a player that would not power on and had no mechanical eject feature short of taking the thing apart. By a stroke of fortune, ( Read more... )

Lost was AWESOME last night! And you really should just download Firefly as it is WAY better than BTVS and Angel put together. Especially, the "I can Kill you with my Brain." comment. Now that I've abused the CAPS lock I'm going away now*runs awaaaaaaaaaaaay*

I want to watch Lost. But I missed the first couple of episodes, and I didn't want to come in at the middle. And I have no idea how to get the pirated copies off the web. I don't suppose you'd like to abuse gmail for me?

My hard drive space is getting tight (I know, I know, 60 gigs means I shouldn't be able to do that), so I've been deleting as I go. :( The other problem is that Gmail has a 10MB cap on attachment sizes, so since the average episode tends to be ~300MB, it would take a lot of WinRar abuse to send each one.

But I've got this handy link to eMule, where I've been finding my goodies without too much trouble.

You want to know about junk food discontinuation blues - It is absolutely unseemly and unfit for your audience to even euphamistically describe the things I would do for a 12 pack of Ecto Cooler flavored Hi-C juice boxes.

I got excited when I found that Shoutin' Orange Tangergreen is apparently the same recipe, but just as I learned of this, it too has disappeared from store shelves.

It is a conspiracy, I tell you.

Err, but, I'm sorry about your Kit-Kats. I got a little carried away there.

I'm quite glad that I never developed the extreme attachment to Ecto Cooler that so many of my peers had. On the other hand, I can still remember the taste of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Pie, and I suspect I will continue to pine for them in a quiet way until I'm well into my middle-age.

Green Tea?!?! Where?! I'm still sad about the Orange KitKats I had once last year and didn't realise then that I should stock up on. Strawberry just isn't the same.

As far as I know, they're only being sold in Japan, and the only ones I can find now are tucked away in a dark corner in the local Circle K. There's a white chocolate version floating around here, too, but I'm generally too focused on my rapidly disappearing flavor of choice to pay it much mind.

Hmmph. I think I've seen white chocolate around here, too, but since I'm not a fan thereof, I ignored it. I did buy some dark chocolate ones recently, though. Should perhaps stock up.
