I applied for a GSA position at the Fashion Library recently, and as of ten minutes ago I am hired. This means extra money, extra experience in a different type of library environment, and extra fun when I play with the 1980s-era slide projector in the back room.

Exams are now over, and I'm looking at a solid 4.0 for the semester. Huzzah!

Other things that have made me feel awesome today:

I have a fall schedule! With badger5's assistance, I have carefully crafted an autumn full of core, and now the seats are mine and no one else can have them. What ho! I can't install new packages or remove old ones because a package is broken? And "sudo apt-get install -f" will not tell me which is it? And synaptic will tell me that something is broken but pull up nothing under the "broken" filter and give me errors when I try to repair? And aptitude is apparently really, really wonky today ( Read more... )
