Is anyone else not getting ANY notifications from elljay? I know simsforaranya was having problems with it for a while, but its just COMPLETELY stopped for me. I'm not getting anything. O_O;; Driving me kind of bonkers as its the only way I ever know anyone's ever said anything to me on here...

I haven't had notifs for either of my journals for six months or more. And I've complained on news posts, been told to submit help request things, but nothing comes of it. The ONLY things I've had from LJ recently were something telling me I was the owner of a comm, and telling me to vote in the p_t owner poll.

I'm getting the ones for when people make new posts in wcif_sims. Since I've been lurking on LJ, not doing much to get any other comments.

You could always double check with your email host and see if some reason its getting caught in a secret spam filter. My isp, whose email I use for LJ, has a spam filter us customers have no access to- screens them before they get to our mail boxes, which have another spam filter that we can adjust settings for. One day the secret spam filter was adjusted and no more LJ notifications. Had to get something from the isp to send to LJ support so they could fill out and send into isp so could get them again =/ Why I hardly use that email for stores I purchase from. Even those get caught in the secret filter

You know that's a good point, I should sniff around in my hosting settings to see if that is the problem. Though seems odd that it would be working fine for years and years and then suddenly just start filtering them out...

I had checked my spam locally and they hadn't been sent to there. But its definitely worth investigating, thanks for the suggestion! :D

That's probably not it as it's affecting me and I use yahoo for email notifs. Unless they ALL suddenly decided to treat LJ as spam? In which case why are some of them coming through hours or days late?

It's been alerting me of new friends, but I haven't gotten anything else in a while.
it could be that I'm just not getting anything, but I've been having at least a quarter of my stuff go to my spam box for quite a while.

Explanation for why LJ comment notifications aren't reaching many LJ users.

Apparently LJ has been blacklisted by the Spamhaus Blocking List, due to LJ allowing Russian spammers to abuse its service. So any E-mail Providers that rely on Spamhaus is blocking LJ as well.
