I just got a sex spam message on my post about spam and livejournal's whitelist.

I AM AMUSED.

twotone has the explanation: Livejournal has been placed on the Spamhaus black list.

Relatedly, there's a paid user account petition going on for people demanding better customer services.

Edit: engram_au continues to be awesome, and has come up with a temporary solution. I'm off to create a purpose-built gmail, and set up a livejournal-jabber now. ^_^

Is anyone else not getting ANY notifications from elljay? I know simsforaranya was having problems with it for a while, but its just COMPLETELY stopped for me. I'm not getting anything. O_O;; Driving me kind of bonkers as its the only way I ever know anyone's ever said anything to me on here...
