I left it rather late, but the last of this year's folklore/primary source/whatever recommendations is up. This month: the Old Testament.

For next year, I think I'm going to tweak the way I handle these things, but I'll leave announcing (and heck, deciding) how for later.

Two signs the end of the semester has not gone well:

1. My knee-jerk response to most things at this point is "fuck you all."

2. I'm going off to administer the final exam wearing my Gigaville "This person has been diagnosed with Chronic Backstabbing Disorder" t-shirt.

Dolphin Girl collects all the links I was too lazy to put together myself, and adds her own two cents' worth to the bookseller's side of the SF/fantasy divide.

Idea came to me yesterday, got written today. New 2000-word short story. It amuses me. I won't claim it's a completely original take on the tired old concept at its core -- given the number of stories and novels out there, I'll never assume I'm the only one who's thought something up -- but I think it's off the beaten path. It makes me happy.
