The flitting (like a fantail) summer begins

Jul 21, 2010 10:30

Today is the start of my 'summer of lots of visitors'. I suppose it's possible to say that it began with Rebekka visiting Scotland but that didn't really have me as host, so as far as I'm concerned it starts here.

For most of the rest of the summer I will be enjoying the company of lots of other people as they come to, or pass through Somerset. It ( Read more... )

A lots of guests - this is soo cool, isn't it?:)))
I like when people are coming to my city and I can entertain them and show the city, etc. Unfortunately, there aren't much people among my friends from other cities this year, who want to visit Volgograd:(((( Probably one of reason is that awful weather that is now (about 40 C). :(((( I look forward to this autumn when I hope I'l have more visitors. I wish you just were among them :)))))
I think when the visitors are thpse people who you've met through LJ or with another on'line help)) is much more interesting)

That's it:) It is such a pleasure to discover very familiar place with the guests, who see it for the first time. They help you to see it from the new point of view. :)

I would be so glad to discover my city with you!:) There are very interesting places in the city and around it. :) I hope it will be possible one day, I would be happy if it happens:)

Lj offers so many opportunities to communicate and to know something new. I can't imagine what I would do without it) Unfortunately, I haven't many LJ friends with whom I met really but I hope it will happen soon. Anyway, I'm very glad I met there many wonderful people, and you among them ;)))

I sent you a request))) yay, i'll be the 100th friend) That's so nice)))))

I'm sure one or two nice surprises will spring themselves on you. Those are often the best as well. I love having visitors and really enjoy showing them around and finding new things for myself at the same time.

I suppose Tasmania is the closest thing Australia has to a place that looks like New Zealand, so that can't be bad. :))

Tasmania is quite like NZ, the tiny part of it that I've seen. my father was born in Hobart, so this trip is partly "lets try to dig further into that closet that's utterly chokkers with black sheep" ;)
seeing M will be the icing on the cake [last time I saw her was in 2004].
I'm hoping to manage to stay in a lighthouse-keeper's cottage for a night or so.

Busy summer full of friends:))) It's so great that you don't mind having so many visitors!:) If I had such a big house, I'd probably also asked my friends to come and visit:) I am wondering if you visit Poland some day:) It would be great to change the roles - I would be your guide:] Maybe in a few years Marcin and I'll have our own house with a garden and maybe a car? Who knows:)

We will stay at your place for about a week, like the last time:) We have booked the flight for Saturday evening, 21st August. I hope that it'll suit you:)

I always enjoy having people around and, as you know, being able to share my experiences and favourite places with them is a real delight for me. And, of course, there are favourite people too (like you) who it is always a pleasure to welcome.

I would love to visit Poland. The books you sent me about your area have really got me curious and keen to visit one day. So, yes, that would be great. I don't know when it will happen, but I want it to happen very much. And I can't think of a better guide to show me around! :))

You know you can stay as long as you like, which is why I have not asked you when you were planning to leave. But, yes, of course that's fine. I assume you will be flying home from Bristol again. You know how easy it is to get you there (and it won't be at such an early hour this year!)

I'm so looking forward to your visit, but I also have lots to cram in before that too. So I won't say that I want 14 August to come too soon! (But I do!) :))
