I might be able to provide a fic for you. Money's too tight this year for me to actually send any presents.

2. A PSoH fic that features Leon and Hermaphrodite!D… and possibly their offspring? A slice of daily life from several years after they get together? Seriously, I’d just squee my fool head off at any PSoH Hermaphrodite!D fic.

I think I can do that. Possibly another, but that's up in the air.

~squees fool head off~

This is the best present I could get, you know! You deserve a hug for even trying. :D

Honestly, did you think I wouldn't? You gave me yet another excuse to write. I'll have your present for you. ^_~

Maybe another small, surprise present, but that's still iffy...

I'm looking forward to it! Anything on your wish list? (Besides the next chapter of "Wanderlust"?)

Yes, I'm thinking of the sort of dynamic you have in "Light Between the Cracks." ~sighs happily~ I just always think that Severus would be painfully awkward at flirting, but the right sort of person for him (like Dora) wouldn't care. Like you, I can't really imagine writing him any other way. He's temperamentally unsuited to that sort of thing, and although he's a quick learner, I don't think he's had all that much opportunity for practice! He's got the heart of a romantic, though, and I think it would just take the right person to tap it.

And it's mighty tempting to spoil you on a future year of Severus Evans... mighty tempting... but do you really want to be spoiled?

I think I squeed a little bit when I read that. :D I wouldn't mind being spoiled, because I'm just enjoying the story to bits anyway; it wouldn't detract from my enjoyment. Would you really do that? ~is honored~

I'd love to see illustrations for Severus Evans! I'm particularly thinking of Severus and Harry conjuring the Christmas light show, but there are ( ... )

And once he "broke the ice," so to speak, and felt secure, he would unleash all of his passionate emotional potential and be a very devoted, enthusiastic lover.

Exactly! We're obviously on the same wavelength about this. (Why am I not surprised?) He needs a certain level of security and reassurance to be comfortably himself, and when he's not in control, he's oh-so-awkward. But after reaching that point, his potential is very great indeed!

I mean, Slytherins don't give up, do they? ;-) Not till they get what they want, or at least the next best thing. So true! The only thing that gives me pause is the fact that he does have a not-very-Slytherin idealistic streak at times, and that could influence his thinking. His personality type (INTJ) is sort of known for not seeking relationships when they intuitively know that the candidate isn't what they really want in a mate. (Hey, I can write this because I am one, and unfortunately know it's true.) That said, I'm with you: his primary drive is to find love and acceptance, and I don' ( ... )

So I just wandered over here after reading your newest on Ashwinder, and glancing though your wish list I see something about Snape/Luna. Can I just say: you've rocked my world! I *love* Luna and I adore Snape, but why has it never occurred to me that I could combine the two? Now I'll have to go look for good Snape/Luna fic.

Thanks for writing, and for broadening my horizons!

Welcome! Glad you could stop by. :-)

I *love* Luna and I adore Snape, but why has it never occurred to me that I could combine the two?

You have no idea how tickled I am to have induced another person to check out Snape/Luna. Snuna is one of my very favorite pairings, so much so that my Flist probably wishes that I would shut up and stop preaching the virtues of Snuna! I don't have an OTP (I don't like to be limited that way), but I really do love the dynamic these two have: she's immune to his sniping and he's disarmed by her sincerity and daffy wisdom. He can be immature and stunted, but she's an old soul, so she balances him. Plus, they both know what it means to be outcasts.

Now I'll have to go look for good Snape/Luna fic.

Ah, now there, I can help you. ~flexes typing fingers~

The first place to check out is the Snuna Masterlist, maintained by rexluscus. She has links to almost anything you could want: fics, drabbles, art and icons. It's a great resource and it's updated very frequently ( ... )

Wow! Thanks so much for the recs. And I think your characterization of the ship sounds like something I'd love. I've always liked the Snape/Hermione dynamic because it's two brains working so well together, but there's something wonderful about Luna that could heal him, I think. And really, Luna's a Ravenclaw. *sighs dreamily* I haven't read the first story, but I think you can welcome me aboard.

Some of my favorite HP fics feature Luna as a main character, but usually as a plot device, or where Luna and Ron or Harry are paired together to get them out of the way of the Snape/Hermione ship. But I've never felt the chemistry in those with one exception. In case you haven't read it, Luna makes a show stealing appearance in "Trial and Trepedation" by loves23rules at Ashwinder.

I don't know what else your fic tastes run toward, but if you have any interest in the West Wing, feel free to mosey over to my LJ. It's the best way I know to return the favor! Well, that and to keep reviewing your fics!

I like Snape/Hermione too ("marriage of true minds," and all that), but you've hit on what I really like about Snape/Luna: she could help him heal. I'm such a sucker for that. If you like it too, then I think (hope) you'll like these stories.

I've seen a few stories where Luna was believably paired with Harry, but I do have a hard time buying Ron/Luna. She's too cryptic; he'd just be frustrated all the time and when he's frustrated, he's a prat. I could see Neville/Luna, but I think Severus needs her more than Neville does. I haven't read that story, but now that you've recommended it, I'll have to check it out!

HP is my primary fandom, but I also write for Pet Shop of Horrors and a bit for House. I also wrote a drabble series that crossed Dogma with HP, if you can imagine that. I've never read any West Wing fic, but I wouldn't mind checking it out!
