I am done helping customers. Finito, no more, they're all on their own from here on out. I have gone above and beyond numerous times this week. No more. If you wait until 2 days before Christmas (and I'm counting Christmas Eve as Christmas) to do your shopping and we don't have whatever item you absolutely must have or Christmas will be ruined

I really hate this time of year because people are so *awful* - be it driving, shopping, waiting (or not) in line, or hey, just milling around. It's not wonder GWB is still in office; people are just so freaking *oblivious* to anything but their own (obnoxious, self-centered, short-sighted) needs.

And, hey, I don't work retail. ;) I really disliked it back in the day when I did, but now... well, now I'd make sure to stock up on ammo for a really good holiday shopping season. :P

I know. I just don't understand it. You know it's Christmas, you know there are going to be long lines everywhere, just friggin' relax. Sheesh.

I don't mind retail most of the year (probably because I have little customer interaction, heh), but this time of year I hate it the passion of a thousand suns. I think the pain of working Christmas retial is like the pain of childbirth - it fades with time, and you kind of forget what it's really like until you do it again. Why else would anyone do it year after year? :)
