Got my taxes done this afternoon. Ugh. After seeing how shockingly, depressingly, little I made last year (and how very little of it I'm getting back) I realized that I actually do need to get a second job instead of just idly tossing the idea around. And that maybe I should start selling my crochet like everyone tells me I should.

I survived another Black Friday! It was actually pretty fun. Almost all of the customers were happy and pleasant - I only had one snippy customer. I had some really fun people working at my bank of registers, too, so that kept it fun and easy. We died down for a few hours after 3am, so I was able to leave around 5am, yay. I'm working from 10pm tonight until 8am tomorrow morning. I really wish I was working this at my old store, with the old crew. I know they'll be having such a crazy fun night. Am off to face the hordes of crazy Black Friday shoppers. As usual, I'm behind the jewelry counter, which is just fine with me. I already 'called' one of the registers, so with any luck I'll just be ringing. I don't really have the patience to deal with indecisive people on the best of days, let alone today.

It's going to be a looong day. Doctor's (dermatologist) appointment at 10:30, then a full 8 hours at work. We were told yesterday at work (and it's no April Fools joke) that, starting May 3rd, we will be required to wear either black, white, or kahki pants, and black, white, or kahki tops.
