A Fangirl in La Paz

Update number two from Costa Rica! We went to La Paz Waterfall Gardens yesterday, which is located on the slopes of the Poas Volcano. And on the way, we stopped at The Cheese Restaurant. That's not really what it's called, but that's what CD's family calls it, due to this incredible cheese tortilla they make there. It's like a stuffed tortilla

I'm having a great time! Except for the small case of Montezuma's Revenge I seem to have acquired from somewhere. That can jump off a balcony.

Aww, these are beautiful pics! Are all the animals in your photos (with the exception of "Steve Rogers") endangered? That would make me very, very sad. :(

I do think all of the animals are listed in CITES. There are different Appendixes, meaning levels of how "bad" it is to trade them. For example, the sloths are I think on Appendix III, which means trade is monitored but allowable in some places. The monkeys are Appendix I, which means no trade is allowed. My department deals mainly w/ the trade in endangered species, and one of our other departments focuses on providing scientific data to get animals listed as endangered, amongst the other things they do.

Tony Stark is grounded. But I totes met Iron Man, too, looking quite different from when he's Tony. Dean was the snuggling ocelot! Here, have a pic of Dean snuggling against Cas's shoulder:

Yeah, it's been really awesome to see our projects from the field and meet everyone. And hopefully I've been more of a help than a hindrance to my co-worker who had to take me all around town for everything!
