A Fangirl in La Paz

Update number two from Costa Rica! We went to La Paz Waterfall Gardens yesterday, which is located on the slopes of the Poas Volcano. And on the way, we stopped at The Cheese Restaurant. That's not really what it's called, but that's what CD's family calls it, due to this incredible cheese tortilla they make there. It's like a stuffed tortilla

OH THE JAGUAR. LOOK AT THOSE PAWS. I have a thing about kitty paws of any size. I love them. And the waterfalls are beautiful. Everything is beautiful!

That wee sloth face. How could you not love it? And I absolutely adore the snuggling animal pics. Well, all the pics are pretty.

A raccoon in Costa Rica? I wouldn't have guessed.

They have raccoons and pizotes (look like a cross between a raccoon and an anteater) here.

Sloths are the cutest. The absolute cutest! We put a lot of sloth pics in our literature b/c, come on, they're adorable.

Speaking of the Black Widow puma, we went to a rescue center we've worked w/ for years on Tuesday, and about nine years ago they received two orphaned puma cubs that couldn't be returned to the wild. They have a really awesome enclosure for them, lots of space and not set up like a zoo -- there's no startegically placed ledge that they sit on like at La Paz. At any rate, these pumas were talking to each other! It was so cool. Puma Roar!!!!

Seeing all the wildlife has been awesome. Especially the cuddlers. I want to snuggle w/ them! And not get scratched/bitten.
