Who: Sniper, Scout and a bunch of children. What: Camping Trip! When: April 8th - 10th Where: Mayfield Park. Warnings: Someone may put an eye out. Also any new kids can wander into the park and join.
Scout is looking so bored. So very, very bored. He'll drop a box of BB guns near a group of kids. "Here's yer ammo 'n' guns. There's yer targets." He'll cock a thumb in the direction of more pillow targets. "Go nuts." And with that, he'll plop himself down next to the box, looking disinterested.
[Once the rifle was loaded, she closes one eye and aims at a target.] And then we're good to shoot, right? [She asks, her stance with the rifle a bit awkward.]
[While learning how to shoot with a bow and arrow was pretty neat, Luke had no idea what exactly he was handling. He was pretty unfamiliar with guns, especially modern-looking ones. He handles it very hesitantly.]
Well...alright, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I suppose I'll just have to be careful.
[He follows instructions on how to load the gun, and actually seems to have more success with this then he did with the bow and arrow. Not!Papa would be very proud.]
[He'd make sure he was ready then explained to him.]
First these things aren't one hundred present accurate. So line up your sight down the barrel for that little nub you see on the end. Aim that nub at the target and try firing a shot.
[Showing him how to hold it first before letting him fire. The butt of the rifle against his shoulder.]
[Nadia is... not going to make eye contact with anyone when she gets her rifle. Someone's already taught her how to shoot and she feels pretty guilty about it, shuffling over to the line.]
[Guns? They're getting guns too? Awesome! Best camp ever!! Sea-kun will probably do a bit better with this, because the soldiers in his house have all used rifles.]
This is so cool!
[Grabs a gun and runs over to a target, all bouncy and excited.]
[He'd try to get the kid to settle in one place at least for the moment. Showing him how to load BB's and then explaining.]
These guns are not all that accurate so first line up your sight down the barrel with that little nub at the end. Aim for your target and fire one shot so we can see how bad it is.
Guns are dangerous but only if you don't learn how to use them. You need to be careful and know every part of it, if you do that your gun can't hurt you.
[Watching the fire go wide he smirks.]
These things though aren't meant to be perfect. Adjust a little to the left and fire again. A good marksman can adjust for the flaws in their gun.

[He'd go over the tedious parts like aiming and accuracy first.]

This...isn't really going to hurt anyone, is it?
[If the Professor knew about this...]

[He reassured Luke. Next showing him how to load and prep the gun to fire.]

I always wanted to learn to do this. The soldiers at my house always say guns are too dangerous for me.
[and he lines up his shot.............which flies several inches to the right of his target. He frowns, frustrated.]
