Caboose darted from shadow to shadow, only an intermittent flash of cobalt could be observed, and only if someone didn’t blink. His Inner O’Malley wasn’t fully active, he had only called on it a little, with the plan not to hurt the Reds; just to find Donut and explain with no room for misinterpretation exactly what would happen. He would in no way ( Read more... )

Donut rubbed his eyes as he walked out of Grif's room. They were swollen and red from all the crying he was doing. That was not fun. He started to walk in the direction of the showers, thinking that the warm water would help ease his extremely tense muscles.

Caboose’s patient waiting had finally paid off, he felt the seconds like hours as he waited for the door to fall closed so he could act. His Inner O’Malley was giving him many possible ways to kill Donut, it took Caboose several attempts to figure out how to both get Donut and not kill him from the flow of the movements. His mental echo of O'Malley didn't get why he wasn't killing his competition. He figured the best way to do this was simply, less chance of doing something unintentional ( ... )

((Psst! I hate dropping in like this, but did you have permission from Raven to actually have Donut say that in *your* post? Just want a confirmation.))

*knock knock, who's there?* privategrif December 10 2005, 05:06:46 UTC
Grif looked up from where he was sitting, tucked away in a corner with yet another cigarette hanging from his fingers. He furrowed his eyebrows, rather confused on who it would be. It couldn't be Donut, he just left. Sarge never knocked...there was no one else.

"Come in?" He called out, watching the door from where he sat.

Caboose opened the door and entered slowly his hands extended fully so Grif could plainly see he wasn't holding his weapon. Caboose spied Grif in the corner and headed over to him, putting his back to the wall and sliding down, ending up sitting crosslegged next to Grif.

Now he was here he didn't have the slightest clue what to say. At all, he wasn't even that good at making idle conversation. So he reached out and tentatively patted Grif’s shoulder.

Grif raised an eyebrow and cocked his head to the side as Caboose entered. He watched him closely as he came closer, finding a place next to him. He continued to watch him, putting out the cig in the ashtray next to him.

"...Err...Hi?" He didn't exactly know what to say. He had to admit he never before found himself sitting in the same room as the guy who was dating the guy that was screwing his boyfriend. He frowned, shaking the thoughts from his head. He had to remind himself that now was not the time to be brooding.

"...Need...something?"

"Hi. No I don't, I just thought you might."

"I thought you might want to talk to me, since I'm in the same situation type thing. If you wanted to vent or something since I understand, well okay I don't, but probably more then anyone else here can."

Grif twinged at the word 'seven.' He hasn't been up at seven since boot. He wondered how he was going to be able to get himself out of bed tomorrow.

"Yeah," He finally said, voice cracking slightly "7'll work. I think..."

He laughed nervously, not sure if he was nervous from the early wake up time or if it was because he was being trained by Caboose. He reached up and, without looking, grabbed his alarm and pulled it down. He clicked it to 7 am and turned it on. He sighed, slamming it back down on his bedstand.

"Alright. Seven it is."

"I'll be waiting for you at your door. We can lap the Gulch. It'll be fun."

The Torso plate finally locked into place, he grinned triumphantly.

"What kinda stuff do you like? Other then wrestling?"

Grif grumbled incoherantly, still not to fond of the early morning rise. He nodded in defeat and smiled.

"Ok, I just hope I can get up by then."

"Well..." Grif pondered Caboose's question for a moment, "Well, I did try playing in a band once. That was interesting. I like to read sometimes, but only if there is absolutely nothing to do." Grif shrugs, a little stumped.

"I really don't have much stuff I like to do. I'm just a plain, old boring guy that sits around and does nothing all day."

Caboose smiled and patted Grif's shoulder, he wasn't exactly sure why he grumbled but patting was a solution to most things.

"If you're not up I can wake you. Church likes sitting around and doing nothing a lot. I like sitting sometimes, especially when Church is sitting against me."

"Bands are cool! How good of a wrestler are you?"

"Haha, showed them." He muttered, laughing quietly. He let his eyes shut as he tried to supress a yawn. He was getting quite relaxed from the massage and feeling rather tired as well. It couldn't be that late, could it?

"What time is it?" He managed to mutter through another yawn, trying to glance behind him at the clock.

"Like mid morning," Caboose set Grif's feet back to the floor and sat back, stretching out pleasently.

"I should probably get going soon, I don't want Church to wake up alone and freak out. You should take a warm shower to finish relaxing your muscles, before you take a nap."

Grif's lips curved into a half smile when he heard 'nap'. He figured he should take a shower and sleep...It would do him good.

"No problem. It's been great talking to you though. And thanks for the massage, it was really nice."

"You're welcome, new orange friend, I'll see you here tomorrow morning." He gave grif's arm a friendly punch as he got up.

"It was good to talk to you too." he said waving as he slipped out the door.
