Caboose darted from shadow to shadow, only an intermittent flash of cobalt could be observed, and only if someone didn’t blink. His Inner O’Malley wasn’t fully active, he had only called on it a little, with the plan not to hurt the Reds; just to find Donut and explain with no room for misinterpretation exactly what would happen. He would in no way

Caboose’s patient waiting had finally paid off, he felt the seconds like hours as he waited for the door to fall closed so he could act. His Inner O’Malley was giving him many possible ways to kill Donut, it took Caboose several attempts to figure out how to both get Donut and not kill him from the flow of the movements. His mental echo of O'Malley didn't get why he wasn't killing his competition. He figured the best way to do this was simply, less chance of doing something unintentional.
He pounced out of his crouch, one foot on the floor the other on the wall, pushing off from both. Donut had his back to him, so he pulled on his right shoulder, pushing his left, pivoting Donut to face him. His hands went back to the shoulders grabbing firmly on the armor plating lifting him near effortlessly into the air, watching the pink boots dangle above the floor. This was just about right for the talk.
“Ghost!” shrieked Donut.
He spoke using something between O’Malley’s voice and his own.
"Not hardly."
Caboose let the cloak disengage, his dark cobalt armor rippling into view
“We need to talk.”

"O-Okay...we can talk..."
He didn't struggle. Caboose clearly had the upper hand here. And his voice wasn't normal.

Caboose flicked his neck back sharply to get the visor to slide back into the helmet housing. He made sure Donut was looking him in the eye, best way to stop any miscommunication about what he meant.
"First off, you will never hurt Church. In anyway. Ever. If you do, the part of me that stopping the other part of me from hurting you right now won't. You can ask Sarge about the other part of me, ask him to tell you about BattleCreek."
"Secondly Church is my Best Friend any attempts on your part to be his best friend will be stopped. You can still be his friend and do stuff, just not be his best friend."
"Questions?"

"I get it, Caboose. I promise I won't hurt Church or try to be his best friend."

Externally he must have looked almost like he was spacing out; his memory of how to be O'Malley was shutting down leaving slack to be picked up by Caboose, so understandably it took a while for his him to adapt to controlling his body alone again.
He kinda missed it, it was comforting. He missed O'Malley sometimes, he actually liked letting MemO'Malley out. It was amazing to be more then he was, to be invincible, and the memory of O'Malley was nicer then the real one. It wasn't just the fighting though, it was the understanding, when he remembered how to be O'Malley he understood stuff he could never hope to normally. His voice shifted back to normal progressively as he talked, Caboose's ability to compartmentalise finished storing him away until next time.
"Is Grif okay with this? Until Church explained he wasn't breaking up with me I was really sad, I shreaded the bench I was sitting on. One of the ones from where you eat, they look just like yours, I put finger holes through the metal, and its all bent from squeezing. After that I was angry that he hadn’t told me, but happy that he had; they went away after a while, so I was just confused. So I came here to make things clearer."
Caboose smiled brightly at Donut, things were ok, Donut knew Church was his, he could share though, and he also knew he was never to hurt Church. Wait a second…
“Earlier when I said stuff I meant sex. Just in case you were confused.”
With that he gently lowered Donut back to the ground, giving him a gentle, for him anyway, pat on the shoulder.

"Dexter--I mean Grif...is willing to understand it. It almost didn't happen that way though. He was really mad. It was almost over between us. And don't worry, I wasn't confused and you made everything perfectly clear. I don't want to hurt Church or you. Though...I already kind of did..."
He bit his lower lip. He hurt a lot of people just now.

Caboose gave him a quick friendly hug to show him that, lifting him gently while lightly squeezing. After about a minute of that he set him back down.
"We're still friends. Do you want me to go to Grif and let him talk to me? He can... vent. That's the word, isn't it? He'd feel better maybe, because I'm like him."

"If you want to talk to him you can. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. And I'm really relieved you're not mad at me."
That was a great weight off his shoulders. At least Caboose wasn't mad at him. He didn't need that too.
