Room 312, Thursday afternoon/evening

All the pictures were off the walls. She'd said good-bye to Jak and Roy, Katchoo and Francine, and a slew of other people at last night's party. All the books were packed and sent. Everything was gone except Dinah's dufflebag for her trip to California and Canada, her computer and her cat

Azula entered Dinah's room and stopped, noting the bare walls. "I see you're ready."

"Yup." Camille wound her way around the furniture to meow at Azula, and Dinah grimaced. "Just waiting to hear from Portalocity, about when my portal is tomorrow. They're working on scheduling... anything new for you this term? Little sibling, new roomie?"

Even the Black Canary poster was rolled up in and a tube.

Azula eyed the cat with a raised brow before dismissing it.

She shrugged, "It all rather depends on Zuko, I am at his mercy." Very literally, she didn't like it but Azula learned to accept it but that didn't mean she didn't chafe at it once in a while but at least she could sound less caustic about it and mean it. "Will the cat be joining you in your road trip?"

"Nope. She gets a portal to New Gotham early tomorrow." Dinah chirruped at her, and Camille quit stalking Azula long enough to come back and pat her foot. "Not fair to Tony or Priestly to add a cat-house-guest onto the list." She sighed. "And all the new kids arrive Saturday, and I won't be here to see it. Darnit."

Glad as she was to be back in Fandom for a while, Gabrielle still felt a little restless being in one place rather than traipsing all over the Mediterranean; she'd spent most of the day wandering the preserve before coming back to the dorms to poke about in search of people.

She paused in the hall outside Dinah's room and peeked in.

"Oh, thank the gods, you haven't gone yet."

"Hey!" Dinah grinned, for more reasons than one. "I'm so glad you got back before I did get out of here. How's Greece been since I saw it last?"

"Busy. Different." Gabrielle adjusted the strap of the new green top she wore; it still felt a little odd after the one she'd been used to. "Ephiny and Solari say hi, by the way -- Ephiny's ruling as regent for me while I'm here."

She realized she was missing a key part of that explanation, and gave Dinah an apologetic look. "Queen Melosa's gone . . . they made me Queen."

"Oh! Oh, I'm so sorry. She was really cool to us when we visited." Dinah sat down, and offered Gabrielle the last tin of cookies she had on hand. "And, well, it doesn't sound right to say congratulations. But-- I'm glad Ephiny's cool with being regent?"

Tim knocked on the doorframe. "Hey," he said. "I guess you're leaving pretty soon." Trained by the World's Greatest Detective, ladies and gentlemen.

"Hey," Dinah said, pleased. "Looks like it." She looked around the room and sighed. "Darnit, I'm going to miss this place. I had two good roommates and a lot of fun, just in this space here."

"It's too bad you're leaving just as I got here," Tim said.

"It is! I had fun in Baltimore with you guys," Dinah said, offering him a tin of cookies. "And I want to know how you and... everyone else, are going to deal with this place. You have to e-mail me. Especially if you turn into a girl, I want pictures."

What? She did!

Even though Dru'd been keeping to herself ever since she'd almost attacked Dana, she'd kept up her handwavey work-outs with Dinah so she knew that tonight was her last night in Fandom.

Reluctantly she made her way up to the other girl's room to say good-bye.

"Are you sure you don't want to repeat senior year?"

"After this week? Bizarrely more positive than ever. I can't do another round of good-byes like this," Dinah said, sighing. "And I really want to start learning things that are more useful." She smiled at Dru. "I could pack you in the duffle?"

"Tempting though it sounds, it's probably for the best if I stay here," Dru replied. "But I wouldn't turn up my nose at the occasional care package."

"Oh! That reminds me!" Dinah grinned and dove for her bag, rummaging a bit, then coming out with two wrapped presents. "I saw them, and I thought of you."

K-Mart had seen Dinah at the party, but that didn't mean she wasn't stopping by now.

And that would be a teary-eyed blonde knocking at the door.

Dinah opened her door, looking surprised. "Hey, K-Mart. C'mon in."

"So do you think anybody would really blame me if I tried locking you in my closet?" she asked, grinning despite the whole being teary-eyed thing. "Wait, you have people back home who'd probably get a little cranky about it. Dammit."

Dinah's smile widened, and she put an arm over K-Mart's shoulders. "Yeeeah. Helena would come looking, and nobody wants that. And Priestly expects me at his place tomorrow night, and he'd get frantic if I didn't show up... cookie?"
