Well, more accurately, his conception was an accident, as I suppose is true of most cats in the world. His mother belonged to my then-boyfriend, "JK," and she had managed to escape his apartment for a while one night. She returned impregnated, as we found out later.

So, I was looking through my many email inboxes this morning - morning here in the Pacific northwest; who knows what time it was for you? - and upon opening the one into which this journal feeds, what did I find? I dropped the boys at the arcade at the Avalon theatre and went looking for a place to sit and write. I chickened out and ended up at It's a Beautiful Pizza instead of some funky nearby coffee shop, simply because I'd been there before. What a wuss I am!
