5V regulator module. A foundation for PIC (and other) projects
Earlier this week, I put together a quick and dirty 5V regulator module for my PIC projects, using mostly reclaimed components. ( Photos ) -

I've spent 1.5 days (and counting) trying to get a combination of Ubuntu Linux 7.04, an Nvidia Geforce4 440 Go and Nvidia's driver to work together... No luck so far! :( -
National archives films
In case some of you haven't seen them / can't remember them I'd recommend you check out this archive of British public information films.
Some such as the memorable AIDS one of the 1980's are very well done and other's are just plain funny (if you have a warped sense of humour like me, anyway... ;) ).
Oh, and Charley the Cat is awesome! -
Broadband
We should (finally) be getting 1Mb ADSL at home next week, so no more excuses from me :).
Now I just have to resurrect my old PC with a new HDD and run some Cat5 cabling around the house (which will probably transpire as running around the house tripping over things whilst tangled up in the aforementioned cable!). Fun! -
Opeth Gig!
Woo!
I should finally be going to an Opeth gig this November. I haven't really heard a lot of Opeth to be honest, but have a couple of Paradise Lost albums, and, since they 're supporting (and are my favourite band at the moment), I can't wait. Thanks to my girlfriend Ellen for getting tickets!

Hot!
It's so damn hot! Too hot. My usual black attire is becoming very difficult to wear right now... Also, venturing outdoors means I have to wear so much suncream that I resemble a corpse (or a very bad goth :D)...
