I believe it does matter. After all, to go through the trouble of retrieving their subjects from different times, different worlds-- there must have been something that they saw in the ones that were chosen.

Of course. To randomly select raw materials for something on such a large scale...it seems a bit foolish, to me. However, everyone's abilities-- they have removed those, placing everyone on the same level. That is something I cannot understand.

...it seems rather odd to question the relevance of the question after it has already been asked. If there is a direction you wish to go, it is not wise to take one step forward then two steps back.
