As expected, I got the job offer this week and start on Monday.

They apparently don't watch clocks like at my last workplace. I've had the unusual opportunity to pre-warn them and they don't anticipate my kind of lateness to be problematic. Phew!

I just did some calculations. I was thinking that I'd estimated an amount that BENT would bring in each month on its own, but the number I had seemed awfully low. I checked again.

I learned this week that I'm getting EI. Phew!!
I've been hoarding money so I won't feel the two week waiting period as much.

This now gives me a bit less stress around finding a new event venue for BENT and getting paid work.

This is a terrible time to be out of work or underemployed. There are fewer jobs during recessionary times. If you've been out of the job market it's even worse; hiring managers expect something completely different than they did even five years ago.
