Ever since the weekend of Pride, I've been going back and forth from Toronto to Stratford every couple of days. Yesterday I did both trips between noon and midnight.
My doctor says I have to reduce my 'bad' carbs and cholesterol. Apparently my blood work came back with high numbers in both. He's given me some guidelines to reduce them and a form to get my blood tested again in early December. He hopes that the numbers will have gone down sufficiently to avoid having to take medications to lower the numbers. He linked the potential for this happening to pre-menopause. Thanks. I knew that already.
In the meantime, since I've been having trouble with my ankle lately and he particularly noted that I need more exercise, I asked him to take a look at it. He's had x-rays done of my ankle and foot. I'm hoping that turns up the problem and that it's correctable without too much fuss or expense.
Yesterday I sent out my resume to the police job. I also went to a job open house held at an employment office. We'll see what comes of those.
In other news, today I sent in my application to run for "Ms. Western Canada Olympus Leather 2009." It's in Ottawa on the last weekend before Labour Day. Someone convinced me to do this, though it's not something I've ever had an interest in before. She particularly thought that with my community experience, that's what's needed. We shall see how that goes. But leather in August?! Craziness!
I'm back in Stratford, all my stuff packed and ready for Tease. Strangely, while I remembered to bring lots of toys, all the clothing I brought is vanilla. Weird. That's not to say I don't like dressing up, but when the forecast for the weekend is lots of rain, there doesn't seem much point to dressing up much.
I have lots of evil doings set up and in the works for Tease. We plan to go and have lots of fun. We also intend to get up to lots of no goodness to remember for the years to come.
Now... if only I could get some sleep!
