[after taking some time out to think and sift through his memories of the ship--and of course fixing himself a cuppa to help fire up those synapses--he finally leaves his room and makes his way down to Level 11. he had heard Ryuuko's transmission from there earlier, but something about the level itself still bothers him. once there, he turns away

Well, I was hoping there'd be a door of some sort. I just know that I haven't been in this maintenance bay once. I'd almost forgotten about it. If it won't be too much trouble to scan the area a bit.
