So back in July I saw Twelfth Night at Shakespeare in the Park and it was a truly wonderful experience (minus the whole waiting outdoors in line for nine hours to get tickets thing), mostly because I got to meet Stark Sands, who was kind of the main reason I went to NYC in the first place (okay, okay, I was looking for any excuse to visit). Me, too! It's a pretty song and both of the guys have great voices.

NGL, I like how he and his friends have random jam sessions in front of the fire or something. So cute.

Oh, wow! Thanks for the music rec regarding Hem. I love, love, LOVE their stuff and am now going to try and track down this music from here in Canada. At the least, I'm bookmarking the streaming site. Awesome!

You're very welcome! The music from Twelfth Night really stands out on its own, but it's also like a whole separate character that melds beautifully with the whole production. I think that someone who didn't get to see the show in Central Park this summer can definitely still enjoy this album. It's lush and beautiful and wonderfully atmospheric. I've already listened to it twice all the way though. Gah, so lovely.

totally randomly, I like Hem too and I'm pretty sure you can buy stuff of theirs on itunes canada and also there's a bunch of HEM on limewire, if you use that at all and are not adverse to downloading that way.

Thank you thank you thank you for the link to Hem's Twelfth Night! That is one production I will always regret never having seen. The music is so joyful, and Raúl Esparza's voice is, as always, GUH-worthy. SOMEBODY GIVE THAT MAN A TONY.
