With a hey, ho, the wind and the rain.

So back in July I saw Twelfth Night at Shakespeare in the Park and it was a truly wonderful experience (minus the whole waiting outdoors in line for nine hours to get tickets thing), mostly because I got to meet Stark Sands, who was kind of the main reason I went to NYC in the first place (okay, okay, I was looking for any excuse to visit). Anyway, I said I was going to do a write-up of the play, but I never did, and I probably won't because I've already forgotten mostly everything (sorry), but I did want to share this:

Hem, an awesome indie-folk rock band out of Brooklyn, wrote and performed much of the music during the show (with the actors, such as Anne Hathaway and Raúl Esparza) providing occasional vocals. Anyway, they recorded an album and it's finally being released on October 27 (though apparently a bare bones version is already on sale at the Delacorte Theatre, without the nice album inserts/booklet). You can stream the entire album here, and it's GORGEOUS x 1000, even better than I remember. I've pre-ordered my copy and I'm looking forward to getting the physical CD.

Unfortunately, no surprise vocals by Stark, but whatever, I'm over here fangirling Raúl who I've loved since Tick, tick... BOOM! :D

But speaking of Stark singing, apparently I've been living under a rock because oxoniensis just pointed me in the direction of this video of Stark singing harmony to "Please Come to Boston" with his friend:

BRB, DYING. I don't think this beats him singing the theme song to "City of Fire" as though he was Adam Levine from Maroon 5, but it comes close.

Okay, anyway, I'm going to go do something useful with my day. Or I might just nap. It could go either way.
