I AGREE ABOUT DEAN. It's like, why is show making me dislike Dean? I used to like Dean. I really did. I loved Dean. And now it feels like... CRY MOAR. You know?

Sam kicked ass so hard. I think Dean should write him a thank you. Castiel too, since they were both useless against Famine. I'll start.

DEAR SAM,
THANKS FOR SAVING OUR LIVES AGAIN AND FOR TAKING OUT A HORSEMAN OF THE APOCALYPSE BY YOURSELF. SORRY WE WERE USELESS AND DIDN'T HELP YOU. I WAS TOO BUSY WITH MY MAN PAIN AND CASTIEL WAS HUNGRY. WE'LL HELP MOAR NEXT TIME!
THANKS,
DEAN

Show's message about destiny is really getting annoying. I believe in fortune cookies more than I believe in some big predestination from above plan TM.

OMG, BEST LETTER EVER, LOL!

I WAS TOO BUSY WITH MY MAN PAIN AND CASTIEL WAS HUNGRY.

ROFL!

And seriously, if you're going the destiny route, at least make it a little bit more positive and interesting. I mean, how much lamer can you get than "descendants of Cain and Abel?" Like no one has ever thought up that twist. *eyeroll*

Wooooooooooooooow to the love meme person! That's totally rude and uncalled for. It's even worse that they're from ontd_st--we are a kind and loving fandom! IDK, I think you're cool beans.

I agree about Dean's crying--it's making his character seem completely different.... Like, it used to be when Dean cried you knew something really, really bad was happening. But now it's just another ending where Jensen shows off his soap opera acting skills.... I liked the rest of it though (especially Castiel getting compared to a dog~ :D)

I think my favorite part was "I hope you don't have kids", like I'll teach them to love their siblings in that special way or something. They obviously have issues, so whatever. :)

I KNOW! The first time he cried, it was huge because it was into season two and it was because he had stuffed the pain of his father dying until then. Now, you can set your watch by his emotional outbursts. Ugh.

Well, now you've gone and made me think of bits that I didn't like. Thanks a bushel. :p

Yeah, Dean crying at the end like the little bitch he is, is well, getting old. Real old. And with what was said, about him being all empty and such didn't really make sense to me.

And the whole John and Mary thing? Fucking pulled outta their bullshit. In all of the flashbacks and etc.backs we've never seen anything that would give us the impression that they once strongly disliked each other. And if they're going to give us THIS story now? They should've showed us (or told us) more from before.

Lol, sorry for pointing out the badness. It really wasn't that bad. At least the episode didn't stop for fifteen minutes to just talk about destiny, just five for Famine to really emphasize how EMPTY and TORTURED Dean is.

God, I was tired of Dean crying way into last season. I think the really big one that changed it from being 'poor Dean' to 'shut that bitch up, GOD' was the second time he cried on the hood of his car about going to Hell. Yes, it's terrible, but a good writer knows how to show pain and emptiness by something other than having them turn on the waterworks and emote.

And WORD to John and Mary. It's kind of like when they started throwing all the 'John was a shit father' anvils at us all the time, except this is worse because we at least understood he wasn't a model father, but to retcon and say that John and Mary couldn't stand each other at first? wtf?

I was tired of Dean's crying back in S2. In S1 he seemed to cry a lot and for shit reasons like Sam wanting an education. Home (ep 1x09 - and yeah, I had to look that up) when Dean's crying a lot about family and shit? It's one of the funniest things ever in my world. So, yeah. I was tired of his crying quite early on.

I used to think, "Suck it up, princess" when Dean cried. Now I think, "Toughen up, cupcake."

This show should really watch itself and take notes and not retcon all the time. Shit is annoying.

Well, technically in season one he didn't really cry, just kind of got teary eyed, so it wasn't SO bad to me. Like in "Shadow" when he was all upset about Sam saying he wasn't going to live this life forever. But in season two they started the full-on crying like in 2.4 and then in 2.20 when he's at his dad's grave in the alternate reality. But good god, every other episode he cries. Last season was TORTURE. I swear I have a gif lying around of him crying that perfect tear.

Personally, I loved the ep tonight, but to each their own :)

And my girl obstinatrix got flamed on her anon love meme today too. WTF? Same type of comments, too. Asshattery.

I think my rant kind of overshadows any goodness, but besides those two flaws, I actually did enjoy the episode too. Castiel was awesome, I love the cupid guy, and who doesn't love a good old creepy episode? Plus I have to give the 'Famine isn't just starvation' thing credit, that's creative.

Maybe it's the same person, lol. They have FEELINGS, even if they don't go to this school.

LOL, congrats on getting flamed!

And yeah, the whole thing about their parents is utter shite.

I'm utterly amused.

I mean, remember at the end of Home when John looks at his wedding ring and you know he still loves her so fucking much because he still wears it? Now that is all ruined for me because I'll forever think, it's fake.
