And it will be on DOOL at that. *Headdesk* It's guaranteed to be cheesetastic on that show.

Did you hear "Southland" got renewed? *Iz happy*

I was totally just editing my post with the news when you commented! Hee. OMG YAY!

I haven't watched Days since...I guess the early '90s, but yes, I can imagine it will be cheesy. But ATWT was pretty cheesy, too, to be fair.

I haven't watched since the "everyone is dead but they're not really dead they're living on Fake Salem Island" thing. Man, it was so craptastic!

If Days actually does produce a gay storyline, I almost certainly WILL let myself get sucked in. I used to love that show so much, and when I watched it last year for the storyline involving Alice's death and funeral, I found the quality of the writing about a million times better than what ATWT was giving us. Ever since then, I've been thinking that if/when my LuRe obsession starts to fade, I may start watching Days again, but if they introduce a gay character I may not wait until then!

I watched Days from '85 to the early '90s, so I haven't seen it in forever. But I remember you saying their tribute to Alice was good. I'm so leery of getting burned again after Kish and LuRe, but it's hard to resist! I miss having a soap to TiVo. People in the comments are talking about it being Sami's son, so I presume he's a teenager? No way I can resist a teen gay storyline.

I just looked it up, and as of February 2009 he was 16, but I guess how old he is now is anybody's guess!

If it is Will, though, I think that's a good sign that they're committed to the storyline. I mean, he's a major legacy character, great-grandchild to both Alice & Tom Horton and Caroline & Sean Brady. Not to say they can't still fuck it all up (as we know very well from what ATWT did to Luke) but I'm sure I'll still allow myself to get sucked in to the storyline.

I definitely hope it's a legacy character. Yeah, I doubt I can resist it! Well, unless one of them is a Noah, in which case I'm not getting involved in another emotionally abusive relationship!

Huh. I hadn't thought of that. Yeah, there are a few people in Nuke fandom (the ones who trolled our comm) who I want nothing to do with. Well, let's hope if Days actually has gays, they'll be awesome like Luke and Reid so the Nukers won't be interested. ;)

Will and Chad have major chemistry and the actors are all for the idea of "Chill" but I'd be surprised if the show made them both gay. It would probably be Will so that the story could be all about his mother, Sami...

Heh. Yes, I imagine a heavy Sami focus. But that's good to hear about the actors! Of course it could be someone else entirely, but it sounds promising.

I hope they do it! It's silly that there are no gay characters left on the US soaps. I'll probably watch even though what happened with Kish and Lure broke my heart. I never learn, heh.

There were also rumors that B&B was going to make one of their characters gay, but they didn't sound too committed to the idea. :/

And I think the Y&R gay storyline petered out, IIRC. Daytime totally needs more diversity, both sexually and racially/ethnically.

AND IT'S 'DAYS,' TOO. Lord, I haven't watched DOOL since Marlena was possessed by the Devil. THAT WAS THE MOST AMAZING STORYLINE EVER, BTW.

...

*whines*

I can feel it pulling at me already. I miss my gays. D:

I know, I'm helpless to resist. I swore after Kish got dumped and Reid died, that I'd never get sucked in again, but I knew it was a lie. Heh. I miss having a soap.
