It’s been a rather quiet day in Chicago. Nothing too eventful, which could either be a blessing or a curse, depending on your point of view, but regardless-the day is quiet. And even with the quietness, there are people out and about, going about their daily routine with an odd short of shared obliviousness of anything that could possibly go

Bela would find him at the back of the club though in what is now his office.
He is not really doing work at the moment. In fact, a small group of sorority girls are stepping out of the office and back to the dance floor after showing them how very good they all were at playing pool. Yes, the office has a very nice pool table in it. It was Josef's. Damon hasn't really changed much about it ( ... )

"I wanted to see if you had any work for me," she replies, as she makes her way inside. "Now I'm starting to think I'm interrupting."
Reply
"Just a typical evening at the club," he says as he looks at her. "For you, it's no interruption."
So charming, his presence, didn't he just mention that? "I might have something."
Reply
"Something to find or something to investigate?"

This time he's trying to reach a kitten that's stuck up in the tree. This time he hits a wrong branch and ends up falling with a loud yelp that resounds through the park to the grass. Mark groans, staring up at that stupid kitten who is looking down at him like he's dumb.
"Ouch," he says from the ground. "This... this is what pain feels like."
...as if he isn't injured all the time from drunken escapades, etc.

"I give that one a ten," she smirks as she extends a hand to him.

"Uh, thanks. Somehow that was made worse by the fact that someone saw it," he says as he reaches for her hand and gets to his feet again. Mark wipes off his jeans of the grass on them, smirking just a tiny bit. "...there's a kitten. I wasn't just climbing trees... for no reason..."
He points upward.

She also hasn't climbed a tree since she was twelve, but she knows that it's usually better to have a spotter.
"How'd it get up there?"

She is, however, a stranger to seeing an elephant this up close and personal. Her foot is caught in some wire, or she'd be trying to get away from it the way the rest of the people are. But this is Elena Gilbert, it's not as simple as just getting up and leaving for her.
There always has to be something, either because the narration is mean or because the writers of the television show she stars in are mean.
Either way, there is never simple.

Buffy also knows Elena, however, and likes Elena, so here she wants to help more than she wants to hurt. But that does involve her ambling over and trying to figure out how to use her trunk.
This could take a minute, but eventually her trunk starts to wrap around Elena's waist to pull her up.

Her life in Chicago. What is it even?
Swallowing thickly, she turns over to the elephant, already wondering if it's a shapeshifter. "...Thanks."

At the thank you, the trunk comes up again, and pats Elena gently on the head -- the elephant version of 'you're welcome.'

"Hello, Shawn," she says dreamily with a wave.
She's returning to Kashtta when she spots Shawn. She stares at the car for a long time, blinking owlishly and head tilted to the side. She's never seen anything like it. Even normal kind of cars are lost on her. But this is a peculiar looking thing. That's not to say it's a bad thing, though.
"What a strange looking thing," she says with a smile. "Would you like a hand cleaning it?"

He pats the side of the car before moving over to his bucket and hose. "Just grab a sponge and rub her down. I just need to get some of the excess dirt off."
Note that he doesn't explain what she is. He just let's her know that she's a she. But that's what happens when you drive a wiener mobile.

"Oh, I can help better than that!" she says excitedly, waving her wand gently. "With magic!"
She promises that it will not harm the Weiner mobile in the slightest. She's very good at magic.
Reply
It's magic. There's usually always a personal gain rule.

"What are you doing, Shawn?" Her tone is flat. "You'll catch your death of a cold out here doing that." She adds, helpfully.

Meaning when he gets a cold in a few days, he expects everyone else to take care of him.
"What brings you out this way?"
Reply
At his question, Tonks looks away before lowering her head. "I was just out... I was hoping to find someone."
Reply
"A friend of yours went missing?"
