There’s a new demon in Chicago. Not that new, though. He’s been here before - a life time ago. This was where his father once lived, where he’d spent his late teens and early twenties before he’d grown tired of the place and moved on. As much as he liked Chicago, there was just nothing here to interest him. Nothing until now

Out of the woods comes Trinity McFasater, who normally is a quite nice girl but her heads are all cranky because she hasn't eaten recent. Her middle head is howling sadly, while the right head snaps at the sleepy left head. It's hard to walk straight with three heads all fighting one another for control of the thinking, and so she ends up toppling over only a few feet from Rufus, her legs all caught up in a big mess. The right head begins howling with the middle one, and the left head just whimpers sadly.
She's not a very efficient beast, and she just wants a snack.

He licks at the blood on his lips, a low growl of amusement as she trips up in front of him and guesses that the poor pup must be hungry too. And although the deer is small and won't be enough to fill him - he's happy enough to share because the hungry, howling pup is absolutely adorable.
With a soft roar of hello, he rips off a leg with ease and tosses her it.

Luckily, she's really, really hungry, and so as she stumbles to her four feet, the decision is pretty made for her as the right head lunges for the leg. She eats with varying levels of decorum--as much decorum as a three-headed dog can have, anyway. Pretty soon the leg is all gone, and Trin's licking her lips, pretty damn satisfied. She crouches in a submissive position and lets out a soft bark of thanks. She doesn't know what he wants in exchange for that, but she owes him big time. The deer wasn't that big, she knows that, and ( ... )

He's learned to be a peaceful demon and tries not to be ruled by his Calling. If that means sharing a meal, then so be it. If it's helped him live this long, he doesn't intend to stop now.
Rufus watches her in amusement before returning to his own share. It doesn't take him long to finish and afterwards, he's sat licking the blood from his paws. He is a giant kitty, after all. He likes to be clean. He looks up at the bark and slowly rises to his feet. He reaches forward, gently nips the back of her neck and roars back a 'You're welcome' in reply. Well. If he could talk right now, he would ask her to be his groupie. No, really. He seriously would. ( ... )

"Watch where you're going!" She snaps. She doesn't care about his smile or where his head is. Bumping into people is rude. Oh, but she does happen to have her cat with her. Sophie the Kitten is perched on her shoulder, and Sophie the Kitten doesn't look too pleased either.
Though he did say her cat was cool, so maybe it's not all bad. She pauses a moment. "She knows she's cool. You're still rude!"

“I’m rather sorry, hun,” he says very apologetically, “I didn’t mean to knock you, I swear,” He makes a peace sign with one hand, “I’m all for love and peace, not war - y’know?”
He didn’t actually notice the kitten at first, to be honest. But when he does, he actually squees a little. He could never, ever eat anything a cute as a kitten. He tilts his head with amusement.
“I was addressing you, hun - actually,” he says with a small laugh, “But the kitty’s a real cool cutie too. What’s her name?”

If there is one way to start your way onto Parker's good side, it's to talk about her kitten and show interest in her. As such she beams a little wider and scratches the kitty on the head.
"She's Sophie, but she's not the real Sophie. I take care of her."

Well, even still. He kinda is a hippie. A hippie in a suit. Or something. :D
He smiles at the kitten, "Sophie. Ahh, named after a friend from back home," he says with a nod, "From the french, meaning wisdom. Smart kitten named after a smart lady?"
