[OOC: Happy Three Year Anniversary one and all! You know the drill except this time you'll likely only be able to comment in on one thread depending on your characters locations. However, there can be aftermath threads as well as multiple during threads. I imagine anyone snowed in at the Tower could have multiple threads with others at the Tower.

The storm's not quite in yet; all the better for Iris, who has important business today. She's visiting Aurora again, and as has become customary, is laden down with goodies: boxes of buns and sweet bakery goods, as well as some loose tea that she's blended herself. It's recompense for a favour she has to ask: an unfortunate wing accident tore one of her best sweaters in two, and she's hoping Aurora can repair it for her. So she's glad, all told, that the streets are clear: she never likes to miss a session, for the quicker they pass, the sooner she'll be complete.
The sky is white, though, with the feel of a storm. She imagines one'll be coming soon. She doesn't mind that much, as long as it comes when she's indoors, and she can choose whether to go out in it or not. She likes the raw energy storms have, the feeling that the sky's torn open, that the world's been given over to a grander and more primal force. It ( ... )

"Hello," she greets, a smile on her face. "It does. "I've been keeping an eye on the window all day."
She sounds like she's looking forward to it.
"You seem to have a lot today," she points out, stepping aside to let her in. "Put it on the table."

She holds up the sweater for Aurora to see. It's a pretty piece of clothing, soft angora wool in a variety of shades of pastel green. Or at least, it was pretty, before something apparently tore the back apart, almost from collar to hem. Or, more specifically, two somethings.
"I, uh... kind of had an accident with it." What kind of accident, she's not quite saying. But Aurora can probably work it out.

"An accident."
She takes the sweater, moving to spread it out on the back of the couch. "I can fix it," she says. "Though I'm wondering. Should I be concerned about his 'accident'?"

He doesn't really know what else to do right now. He can't go anywhere but he doesn't really want to stay in his room. So, he figures he can do what he can to try and keep the residents of the tower warm.
If anyone wants any, they should feel free to get some. he certainly will be.

She shuffles past Spencer in her duck slippers, paying him no mind until she realizes that he's Making Something.
That something is not hot chocolate, though.
She yawns, once again uninterested, and starts rummaging through the fridge.

"Hi," he says, his tone almost unsure. "How's the storm."
Oh yeah, he should have probably kept his mouth shut.

"No one said anything about a blizzard."

She's suddenly very grateful she didn't decide to work today.
"It's blowin' wild out there," she says to no one in particular."

He relaxes immediately after upon recognizing her, and finishes closing the window.
"Seems like the Rift is at it again," he nods, making his way over to her. "You all right there, Millie?"
Reply
"John!" She says cheerfully, walking over and giving him a hug. "Hey there sweetie, how're you doin'?"
She looks behind her at the storm and shakes her head. "Oh I'm fine, don't you worry. I think I got out of there just in time though."

He's a guardian, and he gets protective, okay?
"I'm doin' good. Just cursing the Rift again for being its old, disastrous self. You want something to drink? To keep you warm. Don't know how long this'll go on but we might as well get comfortable."

She hasn't left the building in sometime and even now, she still doesn't plan to. She's been anxiously watching the snow grow fiercer and fiercer outside, watching as people hurry inside for shelter. She's worried for her friends, unsure if they're going to get back to the Tower or not.
While no one may be able to see her, they'll definitely be able to feel her. The narration apologises now for anyone who accidentally knocks into her and gets a fright.

If Kafuka were here, the girl would have much to say about this. Chiri would too. But their insanity is neither needed, nor wanted.

"I'm really sorry," she says, "I was kind of in my own world there. ...Are you alright?"

If she were invisible -- actually invisible -- she gets close enough, but this--
"Have you ever been in love?" Matoi asks, suddenly the picture of adorable.

It's only until the lights go out that the nerve endings start to prickle in awareness.
Looking out the window only confirms his suspicions.
He doesn't know if Nikolas is in the club at this hour, but he needs to ensure Elizabeth is all right wherever she is, and that requires finding his journal to lock an entry to her. Josef fumbles his way through the office and once he's found a flashlight, he starts down the stairs to see if there's anyone in the lower level. "Anybody there?"

Because there's no way in hell she's going to hole up in the laundromat or the nail place. First of all, lack of booze. Second of all, LACK OF BOOZE.
So hopefully, someone'll let her in before she freezes to death. Or she'll come to some sense and decide that laundromats really aren't that bad.
...oh. And she's banging on the door with the hilt of her sword. It's louder.

Josef continues on his way down the stairs, flashlight pointed at the door that is being loudly banged on. He's there in quick strides, opening it for whoever is at the other end.
He's met with a violent and painful chill cutting into his skin.
He hauls Sunshine inside and attempts to close it once again. "The hell is going on out there?"

She hasn't noticed yet that it is her pretty friend. Acquaintance. Person she wants to sleep with. Who opened the door for her. She's a bit too busy not freezing to death. And it's dark.
