The lake is made of blood.

The lake is made of blood.

The scent is so heavy she can't help herself, especially considering how often she denies herself. Kittentits is dipping her fingers in the water, licking at them with fervor. She was so hungry. The whole city, the whole city smells of blood. It's driving her crazy.

Luka is running near the lake. Despite the fact that the lake is made of blood, nothing will dissuade Luka from doing her training. She just won't shower afterward without testing the water in the Estates first.

And then she sees Kittentits. She stops. And stares. And stares some more. Kittentits is drinking blood. That's is so weird. So Luka stares some more. She doesn't do anything (much as she'd like to) so she's just going to stand here and stare for the moment.

Well, it's probably a good thing that Kittentits isn't noticing Luka. It's kind of hard to focus on much of anything when there's a giant lake of blood. Right there. It's so overwhelming it's fucking impossible to think of anything else. Ever.

Although she's not supposed to mess with Luka.

Even if she's the fucking bitch who had to go and fucking kill her friends.

This is what we call not fucking fair. But it does not matter. Not yet.

Luka is still staring. Oh, how she'd love to go chop off Kittentits's head (and she made sure to bring a bigger knife), but orders were orders. No messing with Romeo's pet. Just--targets were targets. They were supposed to stay dead once you killed them. It was all very annoying.

"That's not sanitary, you know," Luka says.

Tabitha will not know how Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch ends because right during a critical scene, the television cuts out.

She frowns; the lights are still working just fine. She can't imagine why the power would shut off the television, but not the lights.

"Ugh," she says, frowning. "I'll go see if Mom'll let us finish the movie in her room. You need anything from the kitchen?" She pushes herself up from the couch, giving Elizabeth a smile.

There is nothing like Air Bud movies to distract a person from the terrible going on around them. Elizabeth almost jumps when the TV randomly shuts off. It's like getting slapped out of fluffy, happy world where the worst thing that ever happens is someone thinking dogs aren't meant for sports.

"Uhm. Maybe some water or something to drink?" Elizabeth hops to her feet beside Tabitha and smiles at her, too. "I can go with."

"Well fine," Tabitha says, rolling her eyes at Elizabeth as she drags herself over to the kitchen. "I was trying to be all like, 'You're the guest and everything,' but if you ( ... )

Elizabeth screams and jumps back when the glass breaks on the floor. Is that- It's not angel or demon blood. It's human. She can tell that much. She's seen them all.

She takes a step forward again, kneeling down by the blood to look at it. Why is it coming from the faucet? She stands and watches as it pours into the drain, reaching over to turn it off.

This is the time where words would be good but she's not sure what to say. Her hands start to shake. She looks from Tabitha to Tabitha's mom. There's a glass of what had been water on the counter as well but that's all thick and red now.

"This isn't- The water's blood."

Elle is in her shower in her room at the Main Gauche when the change happens. Suddenly, her whole body is covered in blood and she lets out a scream of horror. She grabs a towel and stumbles out, trying desperately to clean herself off. Her blonde hair is stained red from the blood. She cries out in pain as her body sparks in defense.

Just what is going on here?

Kat has absolutely no idea what's happened in Chicago in the last 24 hours. She's been merrily ignoring everyone and everything in her lab. Too much work, too much work. She's almost got exactly what she needs. So she'll work herself to the bone in order to get it.

What she doesn't get is why the bottle that was supposed to be filled with distilled water is full of blood. Someone has to be playing a practical joke on her ( ... )

Dean hasn't noticed any of the rivers running blood crap, because he managed to get out of the Luna by midnight. It is, however, just about that time when he gets to the Impala and slides in, sticking the key in the ignition and waiting for that familiar purr.

And, nothing. Nothing at all.

Midnight in Chicago is not the best place to have a panic attack about your favorite worldy possession dying on you. Dean does not fucking care.

Sam, meanwhile, is back in their room, getting ready to brush his teeth. That's when he turns the faucet on and starts to hold his toothbrush under. And it turns pink, and then red, and then it's everywhere, and he jumps back, the toothbrush clattering into the sink. He watches it flow for several seconds before he fumbles to turn the faucet off.

And then he immediately grabs his cell phone.

"... Dean? We've got a problem."

It takes Dean a couple times to flip his phone open, what with his hands actually shaking and all after a few pointless minutes of staring under the hood of the car only to discover she's still, of course, in perfect condition.

When he does, though, he barks out his reply. "No fucking shit we've got a problem, Sammy. The Impala - she's -"

And then Dean is kind of out of breath again.

"Dean?"

Sam frowns, pressing the phone a little closer to his ear, then checks the phone itself to make sure he hasn't lost connection - but even that is starting to go quickly.

"Dean, I don't know how much longer the signal's gonna last, but the water here? Kinda just turned into blood."
