Yes, I have mixed feelings about Gracepoint, because it looks like they're making David Tennant use an American accent, and the last time I heard him try to pull one off (in a failed pilot), it was terrible. Also, while I love to see him showing up on American television, I've already seen Broadchurch, so I don't want to watch Gracepoint; it will either be a complete re-hash -- boring, or different -- annoying.

John Barrowman has shown up a couple of times, by the way -- he was in a few episodes of Desperate Housewives, and he's a recurring character on Arrow. I don't watch Arrow, but it sounds like it might be a shirt-off kind of show, so . . . *crosses fingers for you*

He was also in one episode of "Scandal". And how could I forget his "Desperate Housewives" episodes! His first take on a bad guy, which I also loved very much.

"Arrow" is my new favourite fandom, it even made me write fic again after many dry years, and that is saying something. It appears I have been fallen for the bad guy. And even though I am obviously a fan, he managed that I forgot that it was JB I was seeing there and I saw only that poor twisted man. It's another iconic role for him and has brought many new fans. There's a reason why he always has the longest lines at each convention.

Sadly, no shirts off so far - at least not for John, but Stephen Amell makes more than up for that with all his shirtless training scenes. Obviously, John has the time of his life on set and in the make-up trailer ;)

Could I probably persuade you with this picture? From the finale of season 1 (we got those promoshots two weeks before the episode actually aired and they were very inspiring for me):

(It's the icon. Even though it's a lolmac, lolmac, I still associate it with JT, and I was obviously in more of a state than I realised.)

I still think the US should give us Hugh Laurie back, though. Satanic messages notwithstanding. That was a very unfair bit of thieving - you took him out of Spooks and everything. ;-p

My icon is a statue in Dresden, which honestly is named "Grüner Bogenschütze" which translates to "Green Archer". How cool is that?

But... but... but... John Barrowman IS on your screen? Granted, it's only the CW, but on October 8th the third season of "Arrow" will start and he has been upgraded from guest actor to series regular now which means even more of his evil yet charming bad guy... I am in totally withdrawal and seriously cannot wait
