(It's the icon. Even though it's a lolmac, lolmac, I still associate it with JT, and I was obviously in more of a state than I realised.)

I still think the US should give us Hugh Laurie back, though. Satanic messages notwithstanding. That was a very unfair bit of thieving - you took him out of Spooks and everything. ;-p

Since I give away my icons with enthusiastic glee, even I sometimes have to double-check whether it's me or not. I do love seeing them out in the wild.

And, yes, icon confusion does happen - less so for me with my own icons, because I only use a select few of them, but with any icon I use a lot, mine or stolen, I do that double take as well, wondering exactly when I wrote or posted that before I realise I didn't.

(Also, remember when I stole JJ's Brig icon for like two days? That was the most confusing thing ever; I couldn't even tell if it was me talking, and had to stop using the icon because I kept thinking JJ had said a thing when really it was me! ^_^)

I think this would be a splendid April Fool's lark -- fun, but (hopefully) harmless. We could even attempt to leave comments on each others' journals, using each others' icons, pretending to be cracky versions of each other.

Heh, yeah, I don't think any of the fandoms Beth mentioned are ones I've talked about in the past year or so at least. (I got like two episodes into B5 once, have never seen B7, Rosencrantz & Guldenstern, or Fry and/or Laurie in anything. Or Red Dwarf. Or John Barrowman, except in They're Definitely Not In It or whatever that one of the 50th-anniversary specials was called. ;P)

I often have to check whether it's me or Beth when she's using one of these icons... :D And without the cue of being one of the people who might have used it, it'd obviously be way harder to know who was which. *hugs*

I was very stressed and weird and I went to bed soon after, but apparently my brain discarded journal layout, topic of conversation, name, and just went "ah, look, JT's icon!"

Today is a better day. :-)

Yesterday was a silly day, and it is fired and will not come again. ♥

(I wonder if anyone else would notice yr icon trick? Because we wouldn't necessarily know all the icons, as you would. :-D)
