I think I understand a little more now why cosplay is fun. In the mall 3 different people came up to us and asked for pics with us. I felt all cool and spy-like because I could tell one of them was running up to us from behind by watching her reflection in the store window ahead of us. I receive a lot of mail that might get marked as spam, so my spam filters are fairly loose so I don't miss anything good. The downside is that I see the subjects of about 100 spam messages daily. I usually don't have any problems completely ignoring them and marking as spam -- "Coping with Impotence(ED)" "The natural way for size reduction." ( Read more... )

Our kitchen floor was disgusting. It isn't any more. I spent $100 and about 16 hours laying a new floor from IKEA. I was feeling accomplished earlier, but now I'm just feeling tired. Maybe finishing at 3am the second morning in a row will do that. I'm still proud enough of myself to blog about it though.

I put the thank you notes from Christmas in the mail today. This is probably a record for me. Usually it takes at least a month if it gets done at all. My Trello to-do list still has "Send Thank you Notes Christmas 2013" on it. For that matter, it also still has "Send Amber 7th B-day thankyous" and "Send Amber 6th B-day thankyous" on it. Update: I'm testing "BusyCal" an app for the mac that seems to have the features I need. It won't sync directly to my iPod touch, but it will sync to the mac cloud, or if I can get it working, a CalDAV server. There doesn't seem to be a good way in the iTunes interface to change the calendar app that the iPod touch syncs to ( Read more... )
