Dear DC Editors and Judd Winick

May 12, 2010 11:39

Here's the letter theminiwheat and I wrote to DC editors and Judd Winick. We actually sent it off snail mail to hopefully get our point across even more, since snail mail is so outmoded. Here's the address for anyone who wants to send a letter to them for any reason. I think the next one I write will be to get them to reunite the Joker and Harley Quinn.

Love you so much for this.

And we finally found an address for letters to DC! Maybe I'm just dense, but I swear I looked everywhere and couldn't find that damn thing. Methinks I have some letter-writing to do in the near future...

They're at the back of every comic actually! In small print. :-D

Yeah, theminiwheat and I worked on it together... I sent it c/o DC Editors and Judd Winick. If you check my previous entry, I got the advice to send it snail mail from Fabian Nicieza. He's pretty awesome (he's writing Red Robin starting with #13).

Oh hey! I've seen you around DeviantArt/Scans_Daily.

And yes. You should totes partake in letter writing. Especially if it's about JToddz because it needs to be known that he actually has fans. <3 :D

Hi! Your name looks vaguely familiar, but I suck with names. But hi!

Yeah, I was planning to write in about Jason. While there are plenty of other things for me to write in about, I've been taking somewhat of a break from the Bat-titles since BftC (read: quite in disgust and am not coming back until Lost Days starts coming out) and haven't read too much else, either, so I'm not too familiar with the goings on with Cass, Lian and- there's more they fucked up, right? I'm sure there is, but I've honestly kind of lost track at this point.

But yeah, writing in about Jason.

Sorry for intruding, but since I happened upon this, I just wanted to comment on the following:

Seriously, J/HQ reunion should be our next project.

I agree with this, completely. ;)

Now that he's back, they HAVE to be reunited!!!

But in the meantime, there's the Joker's Asylum: Harley Quinn issue coming out in June. Joker telling a story about his main squeeze? Yeah, I can live with that for now.

Wonderful. I plan to send my own letter as well. And Nicieza says he'd right Jay in Red Robin, so I'm gonna have to bring that up as well. I'd love to see something about the origins of that Red Robin costume. It was Jason's and how he got it was... Well, it was just important and shouldn't be ignored like most of Countdown was. :/

And lots, lots of whining about no real interaction with women. D:

Ooooh, good, excellent! Glad to hear other JToddz fans'll be writing letters. Good, gooood. :-D

Did Nicieza confirm he'll write Jay in Red Robin? I haven't heard anything at all yet. I know he's confirmed the ladies he'll write in the book, but I haven't heard anything about Jaybird.

If we're talking continuity, Morrison made sure Countdown was included in the Revenge of the Red Hood arc. Morrison is hit or miss for me, but he did a nice job on the Jason and Scarlet relationship. It was sort of a paternal one, which was interesting, especially since it's been shown Jason has a need/want to care for abused women.

Yeah, speaking of no interaction with women... maybe he'll get laid in the mini. Then I believe the question is... who's the lucky lady? ;-p

I must. I have A LOT to say. XD

He confirmed he would if enough people wanted it. I posted the Q&A here.

I did like the Red Hood-Scarlet interaction. I just wish that I didn't have to get my Jason in bits. :/ Like in BftC? There were bits of our Jason in there until Daniel fucked it up. Morrison has bits of Jason, but on a whole, it's fucked up too. But we expect Morrison to be in his own world with everything.

Yeah, seriously. I have a whole list here of all the women he interacted with, and even though the list seems big, almost none of those chicks were actually all that nice to Jason unless it was like Pre-Crisis or Pre-death. :/

Ahh. Hmm. I actually provided callarkhamquick with the Nicieza Q&A stuff. Fabian has expressed interest in writing Jason, for sure, and definitely seems to like the character, but he hasn't officially said he'd write Jason in Red Robin yet. That question has been asked of him numerous times on the DC boards by several different fans. He's already told the fans he's not revealing details about who's going to appear in the book for the most part. He has confirmed Steph, Tam Fox and a few others will appear, but hasn't directly answered the questions about whether Jason will appear.

This is the thread where he's answering questions here

I just wish that I didn't have to get my Jason in bits. :/ Like in BftC? There were bits of our Jason in there until Daniel fucked it upUgh, Battle for the Cowl. So terrible. The concept for Jason wasn't that bad, if you think of the general concept of how Jason would react to Bruce's death (ie. his fragile emotional issues underneath the tough guy exterior) and with no one stepping up to the plate of becoming ( ... )
